63'

More Dortmund possession. The wind seems to have gone from the Bielefeld sails as they desperately chase down their opponents. Schopf picks the ball up on the half-turn in the Dortmund half, though, driving into the box, going down under the channel of Can, but the referee points for the goal kick.

62'

Malen... lovely turn upon receiving the ball fro Reus, and he hits it! Good hold from Ortega.

61'

Delivered by Schopf, all the way out to Laursen, and then to Fernandes on the right, and he skips past Reus before playing the ball back to his centre-back and the hosts can start a new phase.

60'

Corner, Bielefeld. Conceded by Hummels clearing a Fernandes cross.

57'

Brandt has space to cross from the right hand side, but Laursen does well to block.

54'

Corner, Bielefeld, won by Hack, and the delivery is nodded and deflected wide of the target by Akanji. Schopf sends in another hopeful ball, but Dortmund clear and Bielefeld have the ball back in their defensive half.

52'

Finally some possession for the hosts. Ramos tries to fizz a ball through for Klos to chase in the channel, but Hummels wisely sweeps up the danger.

49'

Malen tears down the right at pace and looks to run at Nilsson, cutting it back for the onrushing Bellingham, but Pieper sticks out a leg and Ortega clears well.

47'

Dortmund have settled quickly back into their rhythm here. They're playing confidently; like a side with a two-goal buffer. That could all change, but Arminia look tired already after a draining first half effort.

GOAL!! Hazard's delivery. initially in towards Akanji, and it comes out for HUMMELSSSS!!!! WOW! What a finish from the veteran! A fantastic volley giving Ortega no chance. 2-0.

44'

Corner, Dortmund. Won by Brandt in the right hand channel.

41'

The confidence has been reignited for Dortmund here. They're knocking it around nicely with a good tempo, and Bielefeld have clearly been rattled by that harsh penalty.

39'

Laursen.. lovely ball towards Hack! But Kobel is out really well to narrow the angle.

38'

It's a lovely move from Dortmund that all starts with the directness and magical footwork of Marco Reus. He finds Brandt under a strong challenge from Brunner, and the German wideman slides a lovely reverse ball into the path of Wolf, whose cross is deflected away by the recovering Nilsson.

37'

Another promising Bielefeld move is hindered by Fernandes carelessly wandering offside.

34'

They need to calm themselves down here, Bielefeld. They've been on the end of a controversial decision... and they're playing themselves into trouble... Wolf is sent through down the right by Can, and his cross-shot is parried by Ortega, and Malen nor Reus can convert the rebound!

  • Emre Can
Goal by penaltyEmre CanBorussia DortmundGOAL! Emre Can of all people steps up, and with a stuttering run-up, he coolly slots home, sending Ortega the wrong way. GOAL! Emre Can of all people steps up, and with a stuttering run-up, he coolly slots home, sending Ortega the wrong way. For all their pressure and bravery, Arminia Bielefeld find themselves 1-0 down, and Frank Kramer is furiously protesting to the fourth official.

30'

PENALTY! Reus' free kick from deep in the right-hand channel is poor, and the hosts can clear... but hold on a second! Malen's been felled, the referee points to the spot! Brunner the guilty party, a clumsy challenge, and for all their hard work, Bielefeld could have undone themselves here.

28'

Coming up to half an hour, it's been a really impressive display from Bielefeld. They've not been afraid in the 50/50's, they're using the home crowd to their advantage as they move forwards directly, but they're also trying to keep the ball on the ground and play as well, and at times, Dortmund can't keep up.

26'

Dortmund are caught napping in possession again; it's Kunze this time who robs Can and hits a hopeful shot from range, but Kobel watches it wide.

24'

It's a hopeful punt from Pongrancic searching out Wolf in behind with a lobbed through ball, but the right wing back isn't quick enough to keep the ball in play.

22'

Cleared well by Akanji, and the hosts rebuild down the right with Schopf and Fernandes, but Dortmund clear their lines again. Arminia are really up for this!

22'

Free kick, Bielefeld. Laursen over it.

20'

Brunner's delivery is cleared, and Bielefeld can rebuild. They've sent it long for Hack to chase in the channel, but it's a no-nonsense clearance from Hummels and Borussia have the ball back.

19'

Akanji is receiving some treatement as well as the game restarts with a throw for the hosts on the right hand side.

18'

What a melee! Pongrancic overplays the ball, with Serra capitalising on a heavy touch, and as the striker bore down on goal, Akanjii was across brilliantly. He clattered his keeper Kobel, who is down receiving treatment, and Mats Hummels does well to stop Hack trying to nod in the loose ball!

17'

Quick positional update: Edmilson Fernandes and Alessandro Schopf have switched positions - the Swiss now finds himself at right wing-back with the Austrian number 8 tucked in as the attacking midfield in the 3-4-1-2.

15'

Nilsson is fortunate not to be caught overplaying out from the back as he's pressured quickly by Brandt and Wolf, but the home side escape and switch it towards Fernandes down the right, but he can't make the diagonal as it dribbles out for a goal kick.

14'

Ooo... there's claims of handball from the initial corner against Marius Wolf as he challenged Fernandes' flick on, but the referee waved it away and says play on. The wing back is a lucky man.

13'

Flicked on at the near post, and the rebound ricochets towards Prietl on the edge! Well blocked; the hosts can build again.

12'

Nicely played by Dortmund, working it out wide right to Wolf, who has time to cross... it falls for Hazard, whose strike is blocked, and now the hosts can counter. Schopf delivers a clipped ball that is well diverted into touch by Wolf. Corner.

10'

CLOSE! Good movement through the gears from the hosts to switch the play quickly: Laursen won the ball aerially on the left, playing infield towards Prietl, who finds Schopf out wide, and the Austrian's cross is controlled well and struck on the half-turn by Robin Hack, but Gregor Kobel gathers the tame finish.

8'

Good save! Lovely move through the centre of the park from Dortmund, starting from Bellingham, through Reus and into Malen who lets fly, but Ortega pulls off an acrobatic stop to deny the Dutchman from distance. Nothing doing from the resulting corner, and Dortmund rebuild from the back again.

7'

Both sides have made a really fast start here. Bielefeld aren't afraid to get stuck in and rough their opponents up, and Dortmund are really fizzing their passes around the field.

6'

Another clipped ball forwards, this time from the visitors as Reus is sought out, but he's muscled out of the challenge by Brunner and Ortega gathers.

5'

Serra gives chase to a floated ball in behind from Kunze, but Hummels shows his experience and deals with the danger well.

3'

It's Marin Pongrancic in the centre of the Dortmund back three today, and here he is on the ball now - driving into midfield as we've seen him do many times for Wolfsburg - die Schwarzgelbe are knocking the ball around patiently, getting themselves comfortable with it. Brandt is seen making a good run into the rght channel by Wolf, but it's cut out well by Laursen.

2'

Immediately we see the Dortmund shape - 3-4-2-1; Brandt on the right-hand side, ahead of Marius Wolf.

We're underway.

14:29

The players are out, the fans are in great voice. The stage is set.

14:25

14:24

For those who missed them, team line-ups:

Arminia: Ortega, Brunner, Pieper, Nilsson, Schopf, Prietl, Kunze, Laursen, Fernandes, Hack, Serra.

BVB: Kobel, Akanji, Pongrancic, Hummels, Wolf, Can, Bellingham, Hazard, Reus, Malen, Brandt.

14:20

10 minutes till we get underway.

14:16

It'll be very enticing to see how Dortmund fare without their talismanic striker Erling Haaland up top today: big things are expected of Donyell Malen, but how can he cope with the goalscoring burden?

14:15

15 minutes to kick off.

14:00

Half an hour to kick off.

13:53
13:51

It'll certainly be interesting to watch the movement off the ball of Julian Brandt and Marco Reus in this game. Will they drop into pockets of space between the compact Bielefeld defensive lines, or will they be more direct and look to spin in behind and stretch those wide centre-backs? Regardless, it is likely that one will do the former, and the other the latter. Keep your eyes peeled.

13:45

A back five for the hosts, we think. Stefan Ortega is protected by the central trident of Cedric Brunner, Amos Pieper and Jorgen Nilsson, with Alessandro Schopf and Jacob Laursen the wing-backs. Fabian Kunze and Manuel Prietl hold the midfield, with Edmilson Fernandes, formerly of West Ham, expected to be deployed slightly further forward, supporting the front two of Janni Serra and Robin Hack.

13:43

It could very well be either a 3-4-2-1 or a 3-5-2 shape for Die Schwarzgelben. Marco Reus will inevitably link up with Malen in a more advanced role, but the position of Brandt remains a potent point: does the former Leverkusen man play as one of two free-roaming 8's in a midfield trio, or does he start to the left of Malen, with Reus on the right?

13:40

It's a back three for the visitors, with Marin Pongrancic sliding in alongside Mats Hummels and Manuel Akanji, with Marius Wolf and Thorgan Hazard providing the width as wing-backs. In the engine room, Julian Brandt, Jude Bellingham and Emre Can will add the energy and legs, behind the front two of Marco Reus and Donyell Malen, with Erling Haaland not in the matchday squad.
