Lewandowski has particularly good memories of Wolfsburg, scoring an almighty five goals after coming off the bench in the 5-1 win back in September 2015.

Following the triumph over Dortmund, Bayern slipped a shock defeat at the hands of Mainz and were then held to a draw by Stuttgart meaning a 25th league win of the season remains elusive.

"We're better than last season in all the stats, except for converting chances," said Naglesmann.

"We've scored more goals, conceded fewer, we've become a bit more variable. But we have to consolidate everything."

Robert Lewandowski leads the attack and hopes to add to his record-breaking 18 away goals in a single season.
