Borussia Dortmund were pegged back three times but still managed to see off Augsburg 4-3 in a Bundesliga thriller. Goals from Jude Bellingham, Nico Schlotterbeck and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens were cancelled out one at a time by Arne Maier, Ermedin Demirovic and David Colina. And so it was left to Gio Reyna to create headlines for the right reasons with the late winner.

Borussia Dortmund ran out 4-3 winners against FC Augsburg in a Bundesliga classic with Gio Reyna grabbing the winner in style for Edin Terzic's side.
Jude Bellingham fired Dortmund ahead after half an hour, finding half a yard in a tight situation before striking a stunning effort past Rafal Gikiewicz.
The away side found an equaliser following a poor mistake from Nico Schlotterbeck at the back. Arne Maier found his way in the box before striking past Gregor Kobel.
They were not level for long though as Schlotterbeck redeemed his error by heading home a brilliant Julian Brandt cross. It was the perfect way for the 23-year-old to atone for his earlier mistake.
And just on the stroke of half-time, Dortmund were pegged back once again, this time Ermedin Demirovic was on hand to clip it over Kobel, despite the best efforts of Julian Ryerson to keep it out.
Augsburg started the second half the better team, pressing high up the pitch and applying pressure on Dortmund. But it was Dortmund who struck next as substitute Jamie Bynoe-Gittens fired them back ahead in the 75th minute with a wonderful goal. The 18-year-old Englishman cut in from the left, evading a challenge before bending it into the bottom corner.
Augsburg picked themselves up once again and equalised just one minute later as David Colina was on hand to smash home a rebound after Kelvin Yeboah's effort cannoned off the post.
Just two minutes later Giovanni Reyna had the final say as he smashed home Dortmund's fourth on the volley to settle the most dramatic of contests.
It is a win that takes Borussia Dortmund to sixth in the Bundesliga and just two points off Frankfurt in second. For Augsburg, if they battle like that against the lesser sides in the league, they should inevitably start to climb the table.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH - JUDE BELLINGHAM (BORUSSIA DORTMUND)

The 19-year-old as he so often is, was head and shoulders above everybody else on the pitch. He controlled the tempo in the first half, getting on the ball and making things happen for his side. His intelligent passing opened up space for Dortmund and whenever he was on the ball the home side looked a threat. His goal was spectacular, a demonstration of his technical ability to move the ball in tight spaces before firing home expertly. Without the ball he won eight duels, made two tackles, two interceptions and won an aerial duel. A terrific all-around display.

TALKING POINT - SUPER SUBS

It was a Bundesliga classic that was ultimately decided by substitutes, with both managers making changes that made a difference. 18-year-old Bynoe-Gittens fired home brilliantly to put Borussia Dortmund 3-2 up, it was then Augsburg manager Enrico Maaseen who turned to his bench, bringing on David Colina and Kelvin Yeboah. Just one minute after going 3-2 down, one of the substitutes Yeboah saw his effort hit the post but the other substitute David Colina was on hand to rifle home the rebound, scoring with his first touch in German football! Two minutes after Augsburg had got themselves back on level terms, another of the Dortmund substitutes Giovanni Reyna scored the winner with a fantastic volley.
