ANOTHER NEARLY MOMENT
Although clearly offside, Mane fails to control Muller's through ball. Had he timed his run better, he would have been clean through on goal.

HOW IS THAT NOT A BOOKING?!
After losing the ball in a threatening position, Knauff catches Hernandez with a late lunge. Somehow, he avoids a yellow card from the referee, who has yet to go to his pocket this evening.

ANOTHER ATTACK
Bayern are rapid in transition and a dangerous pass from Mane sparks another dangerous attack, only this time the visitors have to settle for a corner.

SIDE-NETTING
Tutu almost loses his footing as Musiala beats him to Mane's through ball. From the angle, he hammers a shot into the side-netting and this time Frankfurt's sloppy defending goes unpunished.

WORRYING SIGNS FOR FRANKFURT
Frankfurt have qualified for the Champions League after beating Rangers in the Europa League final - but if they defend like this they could be in a world of trouble in Europe's elite competition.

GOAL! FRANKFURT 0-2 BAYERN MUNICH (BENJAMIN PAVARD)
Robert who? Bayern are two goals to the good inside 10 minutes!
Frankfurt's defending is all over the place as they struggle to clear Kimmich's corner. It bobbles around and after Muller sees his shot blocked, Pavard leathers an arrow into the far corner; a striker's finish!

HERE COME BAYERN AGAIN
Bayern are relentless in their search for goals. They build another attack, it falls to Gnabry on the edge of the box but N'Dicka makes the block.

EXCELLENT GOAL
Trapp won't be pleased to have been beaten from there, but it was an extremely clever and well-taken free-kick from Kimmich. The goalkeeper's position is all wrong and ultimately he's given himself too much to do to stretch far enough to keep the shot out.

GOAL! FRANKFURT 0-1 BAYERN MUNICH (JOSHUA KIMMICH)
That didn't take long! Bayern are ahead in the fifth minute - and what a memorable goal it is too!
Kimmich tries an ambitious shot from a free-kick, bending a low shot past the one-man wall and beating the unsuspecting goalkeeper Trapp as the ball sneaks in at his near post.

MANE... NO!
That would have been some start for Sadio Mane! It's the former Liverpool forward who meets Kimmich's corner but he can't keep his stooped header down.

FIRST CORNER OF THE SEASON
The first corner of the season is won by Muller as his cross is deflected behind by N'Dicka. The Bayern forward will have to wait for the smoke to clear before he can take the set-piece.

GLASNER - 'WE WON'T BE RAISING THE WHITE FLAG'
Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner has a big challenge on his hands tonight but was in a positive mood ahead of the game.
He said: "We've looked at Bayern in great detail. They've got a lot of variety in attack and are really good at getting behind opposition defences.
"It'll be a really tricky game for us. We want to showcase our football in our very first game, play with high intensity and give Bayern a proper fight.
"To be playing in the opening game is a kind of reward for our performance last season. We want to live up to that.
"We won't be raising the white flag on Friday, but will do all we can to start the season with a win."

NAGELSMANN HAS HIS SAY
"It's not easy to play in Frankfurt," Julian Nagelsmann, the Bayern coach, said at his pre-match press conference.
"I don't know 100 percent what their squad will look like. Frankfurt are a strong team with a passionate fan base.
"It's the season opener, on a Friday night - it will be a good game."
