Hello and welcome to our live coverage of Manchester City’s Champions League quarter-final first leg with Paris Saint-Germain. The Parisiens have been imperious as they strolled to Ligue 1 success in record time, but they have a point to prove on the grandest stage of all. City’s title bid has faltered in the extreme, but warmed up for tonight’s clash in the French capital with a comprehensive win over Bournemouth at the weekend. Will they have enough to overcome a star-studded PSG in the Parc des Princes? I’m Pete Hall (@PeteHall86), and I will be bringing you the action, as it happens, live!

A great 45 minutes entertainment....

Incredible game at the Parc des Princes. So open, but City will be livid they are not in front. Zlatan Ibrahimovic saw an early spot-kick saved by Joe Hart, and the Premier League side made the Swede pay for his profligacy, as Kevin De Bruyne emphatically broke the deadlock after a swift City counter. However, all that good work was undone as Fernando gifted Ibrahimovic the most bizarre of equalisers. Open game, with more goals surely on their way with both sides looking vulnerable at the back.

HT: PSG 1-1 Manchester City

Let off for City. Di Maria does really well to play in Matuidi, but the midfielder over-hits the cross out for a goal kick. He had time!

What a way to gift PSG an equaliser. Outrageous that such an event occurs at this level. Hosts have been buoyed by their reprieve, and are in the ascendancy.

Hart passes a goal-kick out to Fernando, who is far too relaxed, turns to pass to his left, but Ibrahimovic nips in, with his block rolling into the empty net! Amateurish doesn't do it justice. Pellegrini will be furious.

What a moment in this tie. Poor from Matuidi to give the ball away, but Fernandinho capitalised superbly, carrying the ball forward, before playing in De Bruyne, who lashed the ball home. Awful attempt at cutting the ball out from Luiz.

GOAL! PSG 1-0 Manchester City. Kevin De Bruyne with a massive goal in Paris! Superb counter from City.

Ibrahimovic has been centre of attention, as we thought he might be, but it has not gone to plan so far for the big Swede.

Di Maria is a brave man to take the responsibility from Ibrahimovic, but he can't beat the wall either.

Another free kick for PSG, a little closer this time. Luiz again fouled, this time by Fernandinho, who is cautioned for his troubles.

Certainly plenty of power behind that, but Mangala stands tall to block. I would want to have been in that wall!

Very soft free kick won by Cavani. Seems a long way out, but Ibrahimovic has his sights set on goal...

Loose pass from Fernandinho gives away possession, but Motta returns the favour! A little ragged at the moment.

Meanwhile...

For all City's endeavour, they are yet to have a shot on target. Delay in play for several PSG players to get treatment.

Now PSG come. For such a pivotal game, both sides are committing plenty of bodies forward. Motta pulling the strings.

Such an open game. City now on the attack. The visitors win the corner, win the first header, but there is nobody there to sweep the loose ball home.

MISS! ZLATAN AGAIN! Awful defending from City allows Ibrahimovic to be played in by Thiago Motta. The Swede has time to measure it up, but fires over when he at least should have hit the target.
