Hello and welcome to our live coverage of Manchester City’s Champions League quarter-final first leg with Paris Saint-Germain. The Parisiens have been imperious as they strolled to Ligue 1 success in record time, but they have a point to prove on the grandest stage of all. City’s title bid has faltered in the extreme, but warmed up for tonight’s clash in the French capital with a comprehensive win over Bournemouth at the weekend. Will they have enough to overcome a star-studded PSG in the Parc des Princes? I’m Pete Hall (@PeteHall86), and I will be bringing you the action, as it happens, live!

MISS! ZLATAN AGAIN! Awful defending from City allows Ibrahimovic to be played in by Thiago Motta. The Swede has time to measure it up, but fires over when he at least should have hit the target.

It's what you do with it, right?

More possession for the home side. City look content to sit back and then break, though. When they do get the ball, City are a threat.

CHANCE! Swift counter from City catches PSG cold, but David Silva cannot guide his header on target after being superbly picked out by Navas.

City can't get near the ball at the moment. Matuidi is willing to break forward at every opportunity.

The tempo has slowed somewhat after a frantic few minutes. City have been given a new lease of life by that save, and are still playing with confidence.

What a start to this quarter-final first leg! It did seem that the referee only pointed to the spot as he didn't give the first one. Replays show Luiz certainly left his leg hanging, looking for a touch.

PENALTY TO PSG! Foul by Bacary Sagna on David Luiz. City players are furious, as they are adamant Luiz made a meal of that.

Gael Clichy with a needless challenge on the returning Serge Aurier. Was going nowhere. Silly early caution.

Di Maria breaks down the left, fires across goal, but he takes the shot too early and the ball flies well wide.

NO PENALTY! The Parc des Princes is incredulous as Mangala seems to bundle Blaise Matuidi to the ground. Would have been dismissed as he was last man if the Serbian official had have pointed to the spot. Let off for City. Excellent throughball from Edinson Cavani.

Luiz has to come across to beat Aguero to the ball. Better defending from the Brazilian.

Eliaquim Mangala has his hands full tonight, and has to be on his toes to cut out a throughball from Ibrahimovic. City with the possession again. A confident start from them.

All City early on. Jesus Navas gets to the byline, but his low cross is easily cut out.

The free-kick is just about cleared by the home defence, only to Kevin De Bruyne, who shoots ambitiously from distance, but that won't trouble Kevin Trapp in the PSG goal.

Sloppy start from the enigmatic David Luiz. He pulls back Sergio Aguero as the Argentine gets the better of the Brazilian, and earns himself a very early yellow card from referee Milorad Mazic.
