Eric Bailly returned to the Manchester United starting XI for their Champions League match with Valencia having been consigned to the bench for Saturday’s Premier League humbling at West Ham.

However, the 24-year-old had a torrid return to action.

He absolutely got panned for that shocker of an effort.
The defender would later receive treatment for a throat injury but there was a distinct lack of sympathy for the Ivorian.
It looked like he would have to go off but the centre-half managed to play on. However, he fared little better when he returned to the fray.
