Still just 20 years of age, the French World Cup winner turned up at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening needing to spark a team lacking the talents of Neymar and Edinson Cavani.

But spark is exactly what he provided.

Mbappe was sensational throughout for Paris Saint-Germain, causing near-constant problems in the United back line and deservedly grabbing a goal to make it 2-0 to the Ligue 1 side away in Manchester.

It was a display that deserved all of the praise it garnered...
