Liverpool midfielder Fabinho is set to start in central defence against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.

The Times reports that manager Jurgen Klopp is devising a new plan for the defence as Dejan Lovren will not recovery from his hamstring injury in time to face the German champions in the first leg of their Champions League tie, though he may be fit enough for the bench.
Joe Gomez remains sidelined with a broken leg, and Virgin van Dijk is suspended for the match, meaning the Brazilian international is to partner Joel Matip at the back.

Fabinho has played in central defence for Liverpool before, starting at the back during his side's 1-0 win away to Brighton in January.
That will allow Jordan Henderson to step in as a central midfielder for the match at Anfield.
