Gianluigi Buffon says there is no better forward trio in the world at the moment than Liverpool’s Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

The PSG goalkeeper, who will try to thwart Jurgen Klopp’s impressive attack in Wednesday’s crucial Champions League encounter at the Parc des Princes, has played against many of the outstanding forwards in the world during the past two decades.
And it appears the 40-year-old even thinks his own side’s strikeforce – which includes Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani, and which cost more than £400m – may not even be as good.
Speaking to The Mirror, he said: “Throughout my career I have always wanted to test myself against the best — and at the moment you really can't think of any teams in Europe who have a better front three than Liverpool.”
Buffon also ruled PSG out of being contenders for the Champions League crown, adding: “This season, I see the favourites for the Champions League as Barcelona, Juventus, and Manchester City.
“Liverpool as well have a big chance and you can never forget about Real Madrid.
“Of course it is still a dream of mine to win the Champions League - last season I thought would be my last chance but now I have another one.”
