Tottenham began their Champions League campaign with a 2-1 defeat away at Inter and social media did not hold back.

Things Tottenham currently do not have:
  • A fit Harry Kane
  • A stadium that is anywhere near finished
  • Points in the Champions League
Tottenham’s laboured start to the 2018-19 season continued unabated on Tuesday when the London club contrived to lose 2-1 to Inter Milan despite holding a goal-advantage as the clock hit 86 minutes.
Goals from Mauro Icardi and Matías Vecino condemned Tottenham to a third straight defeat.
The social media pile on was not unexpected and, for the first time in quite some time, the word Spursy was trending.
Harry Kane was not immune from criticism, either.
Nor was Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.
