What a night for Lyon. Their best in this competition since their glory days of over a decade ago. Juventus fail to score for only the second time this season and though you would still fancy them to go through it will be a lot more interesting than we could have expected.

Ronaldo heads wide and Marcal goes to the ground holding his head. He did nothing wrong there and the referee who has does a good job ignores suggestions of foul play.
Five minutes of added-on time.
Dybala goes to the ground this time in the box. He was touched on the shoulder by Guimares but again not enough contact and it was more his own balance felling him.
Disallowed goal. The flag was late but Dybala clearly offside. Finish with aplomb from the striker mind.
Great play from Dybala dribbling to the byline and cutting back for Higuain but he fires his effort wide.
No VAR check and rightly so. Good decision. There was contact from Denayer but nowhere near enough.
Great ball from Ramsey into the box. Ronaldo went down. Is it a penalty?
All Juventus now with Lyon camped in their own third.
Higain tries to angle a header at goal but it is harmlessly wide of the target.
Anderson comes on to replace Cornet who is helped off the field.
Dybala blasts over when the ball falls to him following a corner.
Dubois comes off after a great stint to be replaced by Kenny Tete. Higain and Bernadeschi on for Juventus as Sarri makes his last changes.
An effort from Danilo with his unfavoured left foot flies well wide of the target.
As if to show the workrate of this side, Cornet is back clearing from danger in his own box when Dybala was set to pounce.
Cornet rolled his ankle under a challenge from Ramsey but is fine to carry on.
Great chance for Dybala. Concerted period of possession from Juventus and Alex Sandro's low cross is met by the Argentine striker eight yards out but he shins his effort wide of the target.
It does seem 'one of those nights' for Juventus. Lacking creativity and the drive to change things.
Aaron Ramsey on for Pjanic. Interesting to see if he can effect the game.
Cornet gets a yellow card for bringing down Dybala on a counter-attack.
A free kick from the right is curled in by Dybala but easily cleared by Ekambi at the front post. A real effort from the whole Lyon team tonight. Ekambi and Dembele happy to help out in their own area.
Tousart again in the game. He hits the ball well from outside the box but his effort is deflected away for a corner.
Pjanic takes it but he hits the wall as well.
Ronaldo draws the foul from Tousart. Very dangerous area five yards outside the box on the left hand side. Not that dangerous when CR7 is lining up in recent years though.
Cornet wins another corner off Danilo. He really is dangerous down that left flank.
Danilo gets winded by a challenge from Marcal but is fine to carry on.
Underway again for the second half. Let's see if we see a different Juventus.
Well, who saw that coming? Looooong way to go but great half from Lyon. Sarri has some talking to do to his charges.
Ronaldo has a chance from a free kick five yards outside the box on the left hand side of the area, but the wall jumps and blocks his effort. Walls remain the kryptonite in his game.
Ekambe takes advantage of a lapse from Bonucci, failing to read a pass from Pjanic, and the striker drives outside the Juve skipper before shooting a yard over the bar.
Cornet really causing problems on the left hand side for Danilo and again wins...a corner.
No penalty! Quick check and the verdict is negative. It hit Cuadro on the chest then his inner arm which he was moving away from the ball. I think a fair decision.
Juve are on the rack and Lyon appeal for a penalty. They are checking it on VAR now.
Lyon moaning for the lack of a card for Danilo for a foul on Cornet. Always hate to see that but they're right here.
First Ronaldo shot. So typically coming in from the left looks for the far post but can't get any curl on the shot and it goes wide.
The confidence in Lyon is up. Dembele gets the ball 40 yards from goal and runs at Bonucci before striking at goal, but it flies well wide.
GOAL! Lyon in front! Aouar gets to the byline and keeps his cool, sliding a ball for Tousart to strike home. Crucially De Ligt was off the field after Dembele inadvertently caused a cut on his head.
Marcelo picks up a yellow card for handing off Dybala in the throat region. It seemed harsh.
Old school Ronaldo today. Going past the full back and pinging in crosses. Lopes waves his arm in vain at this one but Marcal heads away.
Lovely cross from Dubois and De Ligt, in front of Dembele, had to head out for a corner. Great passage of play for Lyon.
Off the bar! Great headed flick at the front post by Ekambi but it comes back off the bar. So close!
Cornet wins a corner for Lyon. Sounds like a corny joke but isn't.
Lyon are doing alright, but everything seems a struggle. Hard to see them creating anything outside of a set piece.
Actually it was Pjanic and it was headed out for a corner by Marcel. Lyon clear this comfortably.
Marcelo comes through the back of Ronaldo ten yards outside the box adjacent to the egde of the penalty area. Dybala will take.
Very steady game so far. Typical first leg. Juventus will be very happy with this.
Maxwell Cornet goes down injured but seems fine to continue. One thing Lyon have going for them is a vocal home crowd - as you'd expect.
Ronaldo involved and it wasnt far away from the Lyon goal. A lovely shimmy takes him outside Toussart and his cross was only just wide of the far post.
Very much a 'feeling out' beginning. Ronaldo stationed on the left wing as expected. Dubois at wingback you'd expect to be providing support for Marcelo. They only played this 3-5-2 system for the first time at Metz, a 2-0 win, at the weekend.
Lyon get the game underway.
The anthem's done, mandatory team pica taken and we're ready to get underway.
Atmosphere building nicely.
Really trying to find positives for Lyon...they are unbeaten in their last two
It's not as if Ronaldo's Champion's League knockout record is anything to worry about though...
And it gets worse for Lyon. Ronaldo has scored in his last eight away games.
Juventus have better news with Miralem Pjanic making a welcome return to the side.
Rafael and Solet have not made it for the game, with Youssef Kone and Memphis Depay also absentees from their last Champion's League game.
Juventus are top of Serie A, Lyon are seventh. The Old Lady cruised through qualification with 16 points, Lyon came second in their group with 8.
With the exception of the Coronavirus, everything seems in the Italian club's favour tonight. Domestic form, Champions League form and player availability.
And here is Juventus' side:
Juventus: Szczesny; Danilo, Bonucci, De Ligt, Alex Sandro; Bentancur, Pjanic, Rabiot; Cuadrado, Dybala, Ronaldo
Lyon's team is the first to drop:
Lyon: Lopes; Marcelo, Denayer, Marçal; Dubois, Guimaraes, Tousart, Aouar, Cornet; Toko Ekambi, Dembele.
