Thanks for your company - ta-ra.

21:52

Spurs have played their way back into some sort of form, thanks in significant part to a rotten Red Star. They're now well-placed to qualify for the last 16, and head to Anfield in decent nick.

21:51

Full-time: Tottenham Hotspur 5-0 Crvena Zvedza

90'

There'll be two added minutes.

90'
89'

Kane fancies a hat-trick, squaring Milunovic, slowing, quickening, and sweeping a shot into the side-netting, off Borjan. The corner comes to nothing.

88'
87'

Red Star haven't got a clue.

85'

Nice from Spurs, Lo Celso spreading for Aurier who waits to Kane to give him an angle before sliding him in; Kane cuts back but Dier can't quite get to it.

83'

Milunovic strides by Lo Cleso, handing him off. He's booked.

82'

This has got to be a record: Vukanovic, Red Star's 92, replaces Van La Parra, Red Star's 91.

82'

Time elapses.

80'

Juventus have finally equalised against Lokomotiv, Dybala with the goal.

79'

Lo Celso replaces Alli, who's had a quiet one. He'll be ready for Anfield on Sunday, though.

77'

Elsewhere, Raheem Sterling has completed a hat-trick for City, who now lead Atalanta 5-1.

76'
75'

There've been 14 goals in the last two Champions League games at the new White Hart Lane.

73'

FAoyth replaces Vertonghen.

72'

GOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 5-0 Crvena Zvedza (Kane) A fine straight ball from Dier finds Ndombele, who quickly clips out to Kane at inside-left; he stands up Gobeljic, has a look, then passes a clever finish through the defender's legs and inside the far post. He knows what he's doing.

70'

Nice from Marin, who wriggles space outside the box and drifts a gorgeous curler just wide of the far post. Gazzaniga thought that was in.

68'

Pochettino looks to the weekend visit to Anfield, bringing Dier on for Son.

66'

Garcia robs Vertonghen as he dallies on the ball, then nips inside, plays a one-two with Marin, and shoots high ... but Gazzaniga grabs easily enough.

66'

City now lead Atalanta 4-1. That'll teach them for scoring first.

65'

Icardi has also scored twice - PSG lead Brugge 3-0.

65'

Bayern now lead Olympiacos 2-1, Lewandowski with both goals. Decent night's work for Spurs who are now strong favourites to qualify in second place.

64'

Harrance Kane is unhappy, Son running buy Milunovic and opening the angle for a low shot, curled just past the post, instead of playing in yerman.

62'

This should sort things: Canas and Tomane go off, Petrovic and Pavkov come on.

61'

Surely this is a chance for Pochettino to chuck Lo Celso on.

60'
60'
59'

Red Star have been absolutely useless.

57'

GOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 Crvena Zvedza (Lamela) AND THERE IT IS! Kane comes deep and slides yet another flirtation of a pass out to Aurier, who crosses low for Lamela. Somehow, he has time to control, swivel, read the complete works of Chekhov, and punish high into the net.

56'

If Spurs had finished as well as Bayern did last week they'd already have seven.

55'

Long kick from Gazzaniga and Kane, who's suddenly rivalling Son as the best player on the pitch, wins a great flick-on for Son, who immediately feeds Lamela! He's in, but the attention of Milunovic forces him to shoot without steadying, and he carefully slides past the far post.

53'

Spurs are purring and Kane is absolutely on one, clipping over the Red Star back four for Son, who volleys back into the middle from the line, but can't quite find Alli.

53'

Aurier finds Kane, who spreads for Son, but Degenek then heads Davies' cross clear.

51'

Glorious from Kane, swaying down the left and delivering a delectable left-footed cross! Lamela launches at it, but on the stretch, can't control his volley.

50'
49'

Lamela out to Davies, whose cross is kicked away as far as Son. But his shot is blocked.

47'

A slow start to the half. I'm pretty sure both sides would happily beetle off home with the score as is.

46'

We go again.

20:49

Spurs have played pretty well, but Red Star have been horrible. Join me for more in 15.

20:49

Half-time: Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 Crvena Zvedza

44'

GOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 Crvena Zvedza (Son) Oh dear oh dear! Marin tries to run by Ndombele on halfway, leaves the ball behind, and Ndombele breaks. Kane makes a fine run off the ball to take men away so he slips in Son, whose first touch isn't good, but opens up the angle for him to slide past Borjan at his near post. This is precisely what Spurs need, and there are more goals for them here if they fancy taking them.

42'

Back at the Etihad, Rodri has gone off injured. He was playing centre-back, alongside Fernandinho. No, I've no idea either.

40'

Decent day for him.

38'

Aguero has put City ahead from the penalty spot. Apparently the away fans are kicking up a good old atmosphere.

36'

Bit of pressure from Red Star, Rodic crossing high to the back post where Son's sleeping, nowhere near Gobelj, who cracks a shot into Davies, then whacks the rebound into Marin, in the middle, and the ball flies wide but could've gone anywhere. That was close.

35'

It's gone a bit quiet.

33'

At the Etihad, Sergio Aguero has equalised, while Bayern have also levelled against Olympiacos.

30'

Red Star have improved a little, Marin prompting nicely and forcing a corner when his cross is headed behind. It comes to nothing.

28'

Juventus at losing at home to Lokomotiv; Atalanta lead away to Man City.

27'

Gobeljic advances down the right and again and stands up a cross to the back post, where Van La Parra, of Huddersfield fame, heads down; Gazzaniga saves, then allows the ball out of his grasp. Sanchez is there to help him out.

26'
24'

Nice from Spurs again, Son screwing a pass to Davies on the overlap, and his low cross is taken away from Alli by Lamela, but Borjan shovels his shot behind.

22'

Ndombele has so much time on the ball just outside the box, and he punches a curler which Borjan shoves away on the dive.

22'

Olympiacos lead Bayern 1-0, which is bad news for both these teams.

21'

Red Star are pressing now. Bit late for that, lads.

21'
20'

Marin drifts right and ducks inside and outside Son, curling in a cross which Milunovic heads over the top.

20'
18'

Elsewhere, Madrid lead 1-0 away to Gala and PSG are 1-0 up in Bruges

16'

GOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Crvena Zvedza (Son) This is another lusciously-taken goal, Lamela running in behind down the right and diddling his man by coming back inside before clipping a fine cross to the far post, where Son arrives on the sprint to control a volley into the roof. This is over.

16'

This is a rarity.

14'

Red Star finally make their way into the Spurs half, and Rodic finds Vulic, who gives it away. But then Gobeljic advances down the right and curls in a lovely low cross ... but there;'s no one on-hand to attack it.

13'

Spurs are going to score again. Son is so lively, and he forages on the left but can't quite find Lamela.

12'

Nice from Spurs again, Sissoko progressing down the right and finding Aurier inside him, who moves into Kane; he shoots wide.

11'

This has been a really good start from Spurs, though Red Star aren't up to much.

9'

GOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 Crvena Zvedza (Kane) AND THERE IT IS! Lamela curls with whip towards the near post and Kane floats towards it, glancing very acceptably inside the far. He is an expert.

9'

Spurs win a corner down the right, Lamela to take...

9'

There's not a chance Harry Kane isn't going to score tonight.

8'

What a man. I can't believe Arsenal humiliated him for this.

6'

Nice link-up play from Alli and Son down the left, a flick from the former allowing the latter to shimmy away. Nothing comes of it, but Spurs look lively.

6'

Son runs at the Red Star defence, working the angle for a shot, 20 yards out, only to scuff it. Borjan collects.

5'

"A lot of Red Star fans here, they’re chanting and even waving flags lol" says @Debaser92 on Twitter.

4'

Red Star have no support with them tonight, as punishment for racist chanting.

3'

Lovely from Kane, who diddles Degenek inside and out, pulls back his right foot to shoot ... and collapses without anyone near him. No, not a signature dive, rather a slip.

2'

Incidentally, Marko Marin, formerly of Chelsea, is now captain of Red Star. He reminds me a little of Hakan Yakin of Basle fame - a skilful and clever number 10 who isn't good enough to play for an elite club but on a good day can do special things.

1'
1'

Away we go!

20:00

Play the music!

19:59

Here they come!

19:57

The players are tunnelled...

19:53

I love Dele Alli - he plays with the attitude I think all players should have, having fun while rustling. His big-game record is excellent, but he's suffering at the moment because it's not quite clear what he is. As a number 10, he does very little when not scoring or assisting, but he's not quite worked out how to play midfield yet, and his team can't afford to be without his goals. His personality is that of a player who should be involved as often as possible - can he find a way?

19:49
19:45

Pochettino tells BT that Eriksen isn't quite ready for 90 minutes, sort of. He's happy that Alli scored at the weekend and needs to keep going. He thinks this is a must-win game, but also that all games are. It's revelatory stuff.

19:42

Elsewhere, Alvaro Morata has just put Atletioc ahead against Leverkusen. In Ukraine, Donetsk and Dinamo Zagreb are at 2-2.

19:40

CHOON!

19:36

This is huge for Spurs. I'm not sure he's quite a replacement for Eriksen, but if he can add some drive, the guile won't be missed quite as much.

19:34
19:30

So the state of play in the group, with everyone having played twice, is that Bayern have six points, Red Star have three, and Spurs and Olympiacos have one apiece. If Spurs don't win tonight, they'll probably have to win the return, which will not be easy.

19:27
19:27

Stick with me for ITK joy.

19:26

Lives in my endz, now that you ask. Has a Spurs mat outside his front door. Also has his nickname os his car which, I an delighted to tell you, is "Lumma".

19:23

Pochettino says Spurs weren't great in drawing 1-1 with Watford last time out, but they were a bit better in the last 20 minutes.

19:22

Obviously Spurs were dematerialised by Bayern last time out, but it's worth noting that the finishing in that game was of as high an order as you'll ever see. Spurs did fold, but they'll play worse than that and lose by the odd goal.

19:19

Pochettino is really struggling here. He clearly doesn't fancy Christian Eriksen any more, and I wonder how many of his problems relate to that: take your playmaker out, then what? The injuries to Ndombele and Lo Celso haven't helped - it's time for the former to deliver - but yerman is the oil in the engine, and without it they're a collection of parts. It's also the case that Vertonghen and Alderweireld are getting on while Sanchez is decent but not elite and Aurier a liability, so it's not great surprise that the goals against column is as unhealthily healthy as it is.

19:13

Mauricio Pochettino makes four changes following Spurs' latest disappointment: out go Alderweireld, Rose, Winks and Moura, with Davies, Ndombele, Son and Lamela coming in. They'll also play 4-2-3-1, rather than 3-4-2-1.

19:09
19:08
19:08

Let's have ourselves some teams...

19:04

This should be a belter. Spurs are in a proper two-an, and badly need a result tonight - a performance too, really. Red Star, meanwhile, are more competitive than last term - against Bayern, they held out for half an hour, conceded once, then not again until 10 minutes before time, prior to which they caned Olympiacos. They're also top of the Serbian SuperLiga (their spelling not mine), with 10 wins and a draw from their 11 games.

19:00

Evening all, and welcome to Tottenham Hotspur v Crvena Zvezda!
