That's it! Chelsea set up a Champions League final meeting with Manchester City in Istanbul on May 29 after overcoming Real Madrid 2-0 in the semi-final second leg at Stamford Bridge. Thomas Tuchel’s side go through 3-1 on aggregate in surprisingly comfortable fashion thanks to Timo Werner’s header from point-blank range in the first half and Mason Mount's clincher late on to set up a tantalising all-English final.

- OffKai HavertzChelsea
- OnOlivier GiroudChelsea
SUB! Giroud comes on for Havertz.
WIDE! James fires a ferocious strike on goal from 20-yards out but it's wide of Courtois' right post.
James is brought down on the edge of the Real box but the referee is not giving anything. Both sides look happy for the clock to wind down now.
FOUR minutes of added time.
- Yellow cardFederico ValverdeReal Madrid
YELLOW! For Valverde for a cynical push on Pulisic.
- OffMason MountChelsea
- OnHakim ZiyechChelsea
SUB! Mount makes way for Ziyech.
- OffCésar AzpilicuetaChelsea
- OnReece JamesChelsea
YELLOW! For Mount for a late challenge. SUB! Azpilicueta comes off for James.
- GoalMason MountChelsea
GOAL! Mount has sealed it for Chelsea! It's all too easy. Again, Kante seizes on a sloppy Ramos pass and lays off to Pulisic. In space and time, he squares for Mount to comfortably fire into the back of the net! It's Mount's ninth goal of the season and Chelsea are heading to Istanbul!
Nacho's hopeful cross is headed clear by Rudiger ahead of Rodrygo. Real look out of ideas right now with the clock ticking down.
Real only need a goal to take this to extra time and Chelsea are sitting deeper. Will the hosts be made to rue those three golden chances earlier on in the second half? Asensio's cross is blocked by Azpilicueta for a Real throw. Nacho's good cross is cleared by Rudiger.
SHOT! Chelsea threaten again and Puilisic, free down the right, fires on goal but the USA international drags his shot well wide.
Real Madrid are pushing and probing but Chelsea are happy just to let them keep the ball near the centre circle and try and hit on the counter like they have done all game.
Pulisic's cross across the goalmouth is missed by everyone and goes out! That was so dangerous... how no one was there to meet it is bemusing.
- OffCasemiroReal Madrid
- OnRodrygoReal Madrid
SUB! Rodrygo is on for Casemiro.
CLOSE! Chelsea's corner is met by Silva at the near post, but he glances his header wide.
- Yellow cardToni KroosReal Madrid
YELLOW! For Kroos for his rash sliding challenge on Pulisic. Real have been unable to cope with Chelsea's pace.
Pulisic's cross from the right flank into the area is caught by Courtois. It's another good break from midfield from Chelsea.
Real Madrid still look bereft of ideas going forward despite their substitutions and Chelsea have picked their defence apart this second half. Can Real swing the momentum in their favour? They have just over 20 minutes left to rescue their Champions League campaign.
- OffTimo WernerChelsea
- OnChristian PulisicChelsea
SUB! Werner comes off for Pulisic. It's speed for speed.
- OffVinícius JúniorReal Madrid
- OnMarco AsensioReal Madrid
ANOTHER HUGE CHELSEA MISS! Werner sprints forward and leads a Chelsea counter-attack. He lays it off to Kante but it's saved again by the feet of Courtois! That's the third golden chance squandered by Chelsea this half!
- OffFerland MendyReal Madrid
- OnFederico ValverdeReal Madrid
CHANCE! Asensio's cross into the area is headed behind by Rudiger. Hazard then drills a shot on goal from a tight angle inside the box and Mendy saves with his right boot! The following corner amounts to nothing.
- Yellow cardNachoReal Madrid
Vinicius' cross into the box is headed clear by Jorginho as Real commit more men forward. Nacho and Havertz then collide before the Spaniard attempts to pull him up. It's naughty stuff from Nacho and he is shown a yellow card. SUBS! F Mendy comes off for Valverde while Asensio comes on for Vinicius.
BIG SAVE! Havertz bursts into a one-on-one thanks to a simple ball over the top which splits Real in half, but his shot is straight at Courtois. It's a fine save from the Belgian using his feet by he simply had to finish there!
Casemiro's cross is caught by Mendy. Real may look to make some substitutions soon to try and change the shape of their attack.
Real Madrid are trying to compose themselves but they are really finding it hard to break down Chelsea's shape. Chelsea have had so much joy down the left flank that even Rudiger is confidently bursting down the channel from his centre back position. Neither Vinicius nor Modric want to go into that zone.
BIG MISS! Real's defence completely opens up. Werner flick the ball into the path of Mount who just has to slot the ball home... but he fires over the bar! It looked like he should have dinked it over Courtois but he ends up lifting it way over! That was a golden chance missed!
Chelsea have a free-kick and Chilwell will swing it in from the right of Real's box. CLOSE! It reaches Silva at the near post but he heads over the bar!
Vinicius fouls Chilwell and Chelsea have a free-kick. Both of Real's wingers have struggled to have any impact on the match so far. Chelsea have been so well organised defensively as has been typical of them under Thomas Tuchel since his arrival in January.
OFF THE BAR! Azpilicueta's cross from the right is as accurate as it comes. Havertz rises above Militao to meet it but it's off the bar!
SECOND HALF! Here we go. Can the La Liga champions get back into this? Just 45 minutes separates Chelsea from the Champions League final in Istanbul on May 29 as it stands.
- End of 1st Half
There's no time for the corner and the half-time whistle blows. Chelsea are heading to Istanbul for the final as it stands thanks to Werner's 28th mnute header. Real have twice threatened through Benzema and we should be in for a very exciting second half. Don't go anywhere!
Rudiger fouls Vinicius and Real have a free-kick. Mendy's loose pass falls to Jorginho and Chelsea counter through Havertz. He strorms into the box but he shows too much of it to Ramos before playing a ball across and it goes out for a corner. There were blue shirts ready to pounce in the box.
Mount jinks his way into the box once again but his shot deflects to Werner who attempts an audacious looping effort on goal, but it flies harmlessly over the bar. Again, the attack stemmed from Chelsea's left flank.
Vinicius, who has been operating as a right wing-back for the majority of the half, fouls Chilwell. The young Brazilian has looked very uncomfortable dealing with the Chelsea left-back.
- Yellow cardAndreas ChristensenChelsea
Casemiro smacks an arm into Werner's face but somehow it is a Real free-kick. He's done well to get away with that. It's then a YELLOW! For Christensen after he makes a late challenge on Mendy. Three yellow cards already in this first half.
- Yellow cardSergio RamosReal Madrid
The corner is played short by Kroos... but it's a YELLOW! For Ramos after he pushes over Azpilicueta in the box. Could we be heading for Ramos' 27th career red card this evening? Perhaps.
GREAT SAVE! It's a brilliant pick out from Modric who dinks a ball into the area into the path of Benzema. He leaps up high above Rudiger and glances his header towards goal, but Mendy tips over the bar! The Chelsea goalkeeper is having a great game.
If you are a UK viewer, here is that Werner goal...
Fine work from Rudiger who tackles two players before busting a gut to get into the Real box. Werner attempted to square to him but it's a loose pass. That was a bit of a waste of Rudiger's great play.
How will Real respond? They have had so much more of the ball this evening but they are clearly wary of the Chelsea counter as they are not keen to push men forward. Chelsea, meanwhile, may even be content just to sit on this lead now. Real have it all to do.
- GoalTimo WernerChelsea
GOAL!!! Werner has scored and Chelsea are 2-1 up on aggregate! It's brilliant work from Kante who plays a one-two with the German before laying it off to Havertz. He tries to chip Courtois and it comes off the bar and lands perfectly for Werner, who nods in his first Champions League goal for Chelsea in open play! A huge goal!
OFF THE POST! Real Madrid are enjoying more of the ball further up the pitch and Benzema has a go from outside the box... it's curling into the bottom corner but it's a fantastic stop by Mendy who parries it away onto the woodwork for a corner! The following corner comes to nothing.
Vinicius' cross swung towards Benzema goes above the Frenchman's head and out for a goal-kick. Benzema has barely been in the game so far, but that does not tend to stop him from scoring a goal or two.
Vinicius Jr and Chilwell seem to be arguing about something, but referer Orsato has had a quiet word with both to diffuse the situation.
This has opened up and both sides have now had attempts on goal. Chelsea are on top despite only having 29 per cent possession. They have had the more dangerous chances at the moment with Real limited to shots from range.
NO GOAL!!! It looked like Werner had his first goal in open play in the Champions League this season for Chelsea as Chilwell squared for the German to tap home, but he was narrowly offside and it's chalked off! Luck is just not on Werner's side.
SHOT! Modric has a go from a similar distance to where Kroos had a go a few minutes ago. Again it's straight at Mendy but Real are threatening.
Werner's low cross swung in is well defended by Nacho as he gets his foot in ahead of Havertz to make an important clearance. Chelsea are starting to up the pressure with Real being forced to sit deep.
- Yellow cardJorginhoChelsea
The free-kick swung in by Chilwell is headed clear at the back post by Casemiro. The ball back into the box is comfortably dealt with by Modric. YELLOW! The first of the night for Jorginho for tripping up Hazard as he tried to sprint towards the Chelsea box.
SAVE! Rudiger has a strike from range but Courtois punches clear! That was a fine, powerful strike from the German! Moments later Mount jinks his way into the box from the left and attempts a low driven cross, but it's blocked behind for a corner. Vinicius then gives a free-kick away on the edge of the box for tripping up Chilwell.
Real Madrid have had a lot of the ball so far. Kroos has the first shot of the game from around 30-yards out, but his low bobbling effort is easy enough for Mendy to claim.
Werner tries to surge into the box but Ramos is able to shepherd the ball back to Courtois.
Nacho is caught by Havertz and he looks to be in some discomfort. There did not seem to really be a great deal of contact on the Spanish right-back.
Real Madrid are looking to dictate the tempo with Chelsea absorbing the pressure right now. This is all looking quite cagey at the moment.
No real attacking intent from either side just yet as Kante puts in a crunching tackle on Kroos after Christensen slides into the back of Hazard. It's a Real free-kick from the left flank. The ball swung in is headed clear by Silva.
Both sides are knocking the ball about with everyone getting a touch as they adapt to the damp conditions. Werner is caught offside.
- 1st Half
We are underway at the Bridge!
Tonight's referee is Italy's Daniele Orsato. VAR is Massimiliano Irrati.
Chelsea have made their way out of the Stamford Bridge tunnel, Real Madrid have come in from an alternative tunnel... either way, kick-off is just moments away!
Chelsea boss Tuchel told BT Sport pre-match: “I don’t think that we need a miracle or any crazy stuff, but we need our best level of performance."
Sergio Ramos is back, everyone. The Real Madrid club captain and all-round mentality monster is set to play his ninth Champions League semi-final tie after recovering from injury. This will be only Ramos' third game since January. Is the 35-year-old really fit enough? That we will find out.
"He's a top guy," Thomas Tuchel told reporters when speaking about N'Golo Kante. "He's the guy you need to win trophies ... that's why we're are so happy he's here and he's at our club. It's a pleasure to watch what he's doing with the mentality of a real helper... he'll always give everything to help out on the pitch - it's a fantastic combination."
"It's a very good moment for him and I'm certain he'll help us a lot. He'll be able to show us his skill and quality," said Zinedine Zidane about Eden Hazard, whose two seasons at Real have been stunted by a series of long-term injuries. Midfielder Toni Kroos added: "We all know what Eden can give us. He is much better and getting close to his true level. He can help us a lot in a game like this. I don't know how sharp he'll be because he has played so little, but he's always dangerous."
Both sets of players have begun their warm-ups on a wet evening in London. Here's Thibaut Courtois going through some drills before he faces off against his former club. We should be in for a cracker tonight.
"We've had a lot of difficulties but you have to take your hat off to this team," Zinedine Zidane told a virtual news conference ahead of tonight's decider at Stamford Bridge. "More than anything else, this team has character. And when the going gets tough they always dig in. In my eyes, they are the best. We are exactly where we want to be and it's fully deserved."
N'Golo Kante was misused and misunderstood by Frank Lampard and Maurizio Sarri, but Thomas Tuchel has restored the Frenchman as a central figure for Chelsea. He will be key for the Blues tonight 👇
"The main lesson is that we can trust ourselves and we have the right to be in the semi-final," Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel told the pre-match news conference. "We deserve to be there. It's the second leg, the decisive one, so to arrive with a certain level of belief and self-confidence is absolutely necessary. Otherwise we have no chance against a team like Real Madrid."
Here's a reminder of Christian Pulisic's potentially vital away goal at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium last week.
Eden Hazard has suffered multiple injuries since making the €100m switch to the Spanish capital two years ago, but he is looking more like his old self just in time for Real Madrid's trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final tie on Wednesday evening 👇
Chelsea supporters have come out in force outside Stamford Bridge to back their team ahead of what is a huge night in their history. Thomas Tuchel's side are aiming to reach the Champions League final for the first time since that famous night in Munich back in 2012.
For Chelsea, their goalscorer from the first leg Christian Pulisic has been dropped with Kai Havertz coming into their XI. Of course, both sides will have the benefit of being able to use five subs should they need to.
The big team news coming out of Real Madrid is Sergio Ramos and Eden Hazard both start this evening. Real's captain Ramos has returned from a muscular injury to be fit for this one while Hazard starts only his second game since January.
Chelsea XI: Mendy, Christensen, Silva, Rudiger, Azpilicueta, Kante, Jorginho, Chilwell, Mount, Havertz, Werner.
Subs: Kepa, Emerson, Alonso, Abraham, Caballero, Gilmour, Zouma, Giroud, Hudson-Odoi, James, Ziyech, Pulisic.
