Zouma meets the ball from the corner but he glances it wide. Gudelj is caught by his arm and needs a little a treatment to cover a cut on his face.
Chelsea put some sustained pressure down the left. Pulisic overhits a cross on the left, and James wins a corner.

Ocampos takes control of a ball from a fluffed clearance from Zouma, and whips a low volley at goal that gives Mendy cause to dive smartly to his left.
Acuna spins into space in the corner, drives down the touchline and sets up Suso for header, but his effort goes just wide after being put off by Chilwell.
Acuna booked for pulling Pulisic back.

Chilwell clears Rakitic's rubbish free kick, but Sevilla keep the pressure on until Acuna can't keep a pass over the top in play down the left wing.

Werner controls an awkward cross, sets himself up for a shot, and stabs an effort that is well struck but easily reached by Bono.
Pulisic slides a perfect pass forward for Werner, he rounds the 'keeper, and... it runs out of play. He is then flagged for offside.
Sevilla have had almost two-thirds of the ball so far.
An almost endless string of passes from Sevilla, and Navas waits for a pass down the line to send in a cross from Suso, but he overhits it.
Under no pressure, Thiago Silva sends the ball out of play for a throw.
Ocampos flicks the ball into the box for Suso, but the former Liverpool player can't reach it. James scrambles the ball clear for a throw moments later.
It says something for the game that this is the most recent social media comment from the away side.
The free kick is ultimately cleared but Chelsea are rescued by Mendy's save from the set piece. The deflected free kick came off Zouma.

Sevilla are keeping the crowd absolutely silent.

Let's time travel 10 minutes hence.
Kante is the second Chelsea player to be penalised for a high boot, this time in the midfield.
Carlos cuts out a wicked, dangerous cross fro James from the right. Into the six-yard box and Havertz can't quite reach it.
Sevilla are in possession, happily keeping the ball at the back.
Ocampos strides forward down the inside left and into the box, and he flashes a volley at goal that hits the side-netting. It's ruled offside.
Havertz tries to open up the Sevilla defence but they are sitting back and defending well for now.
The match gets underway.

For Sevilla, this is the chance to step up from the Europa League, before both of the tournaments are usurped.
Chelsea have named a strong 11 for the game today. There's no obvious casualty or weak link. This is, in fact, their strongest side.
