Yellow card! Torreira goes into the book for a rash foul on Tolisso.
Hernandez knocks Correa off balance as Atletico win a free-kick in dangerous territory. But it comes to nothing. TWO minutes will be added on.
Nice hit from Joao Felix, but the whistle had already gone for a Bayern free-kick. That sums up his night.
Over! Joao Felix whips it over the wall but harmlessly over the bar. It has been another underwhelming performance from the youngster.
Correa buys a soft free-kick from Alaba, giving Atletico an opportunity for a consolation goal...

- OffBenjamin PavardFC Bayern Munich
- OnBouna SarrFC Bayern Munich
Double Bayern sub: Job done, so here comes back-up - Bouna Sarr replaces Pavard and Douglas Costa comes on for Coman, who won't get his treble after all.
- GoalKingsley ComanFC Bayern Munich
GOAL! Bayern Munich 4-0 Atletico Madrid (Kingsley Coman): What a superb goal to make it FOUR! Atletico's defence is too high, and Muller can easily release Coman. Twisting and turning, he leaves his marker in his wake, before burying it past Oblak. He's on a hat-trick now!
Gundogan has scored to give Manchester City the lead over Porto.
Oblak is complaining that he was unsighted by Muller, who may have been in an offside position. VAR should probably have checked that.
- GoalCorentin TolissoFC Bayern Munich
GOAL! Bayern Munich 3-0 Atletico Madrid (Corentin Tolisso): Oh my, an early contender for goal of the competition as Tolisso puts the game beyond doubt! He lashes one into the top corner from 25 yards, leaving Oblak with no chance!
Atleti should score! The visitors break, led by Joao Felix. He releases Carrasco with a beautifully-weighted pass but he strikes it well wide of the near post.
Bayern are sending out a message to the rest of the Champions League with this performance. They're making easy work of the supposed best defence in Europe.
Muller goes close! Pavard heads the ball into the feet of Muller, who shoots with his laces but slices his effort wide! That was a huge chance to put the game to bed!
Muller with dazzling close control gets in behind the Atleti defence - but the linesman's flag is up.
Liverpool are winning at Ajax, thanks to a first half own goal.
Koke runs into trouble in his own half. Lewandowski looks to shape up for a shot from 25 yards but instead opts to deliver a beautiful floated cross into the path of Coman. However, he can't get the ball under control!
Koke makes an important intervention to deny Muller space for a shot. It's an end-to-end match now at the Allianz.
Llorente, who has been almost anonymous this evening, tries to provide some thrust in the Atletico midfield but their break collapses.
Atleti fail to clear Bayern's corner convincingly, but Hernandez's first-time effort is never troubling Oblak.
Joao Felix unselfishly rolls the ball across the face of goal rather than shooting, but Pavard clears. There's more of an edge to Atleti since the restart.
Goal ruled out! Atletico are celebrating what they think is a much-needed goal, with Joao Felix's volley squirming through Neuer. But the linesman's flag is soon to be raised! Suarez was in an offside position and obstructed Neuer's view.
- 2nd Half
Kick-off! Atletico get the second half underway knowing a vast improvement is needed.
- End of 1st Half
Half-time: It's Bayern Munich 2-0 Atletico Madrid at the break, and it could be more. Diego Simeone's side have much work to do if they're to salvage anything here.
- Yellow cardHéctor HerreraAtlético Madrid
Yellow card! Atleti's frustration evident now as Herrera goes into the book for a foul on Kimmich.
Lewandowski should score! Bayern should be out of sight! Their talisman is picked out by Pavard's cross, but he heads into the ground and Atleti get away with it this time.
- Yellow cardKokeAtlético Madrid
Yellow card! It's arguably not even a foul, but Koke is booked for a tackle on Kimmich.
- Yellow cardRenan LodiAtlético Madrid
Yellow card! Renan Lodi goes into the book for a foul on Pavard.
- GoalLeon GoretzkaFC Bayern Munich
GOAL! Bayern Munich 2-0 Atletico Madrid (Leon Gortezka): Bayern are running away with this! They are just too strong on the break! Lewandowski streaks away, finding Coman on the overlap. They're lining up at the back post awaiting his delivery and it's Goretzka who meets it, and he hammers it into the bottom corner.
Over! Carrasco's corner delivery is aimed to the near post but Herrera's glancing header is never troubling Neuer.
Atletico get in behind Bayern's high defence once more. Lodi races down the left channel, tries to find Suarez with a cut-back, but Sule steps in to concede the corner.
Herrera drives down the right flank and lifts a cross to the far post, over the head of both Suarez and Joao Felix.
No penalty! Tolisso leaves Koke for dead before aiming a low cross into the feet of Lewandowski, who goes down inside the box under pressure from Felipe. Their appeals for a penalty are ignored.
Atleti are chasing shadows at the moment, as Bayern continue to grow in confidence.
Bayern have shown more heart and desire than Atleti so far. Simeone's side are lacking their usual drive and fight. If they concede again, it's game over.
Simeone will be furious with Joao Felix, who just didn't fancy competing for the ball with Kimmich. Trippier was also caught sleeping as the cross came in.
- GoalKingsley ComanFC Bayern Munich
GOAL! Bayern Munich 1-0 Atletico Madrid (Kingsley Coman): Joao Frelix backs out of a 50-50 with Kimmich, who gathers himself and floats a lovely cross to the back post where Coman is left with the simple task of slotting it home!
Suarez should hit the target! Carrasco spins between two Bayern defenders and cuts it back for Suarez. It's another presentable chance for the Atleti forward but he fluffs his lines.
Atletico have some defending to do, as Bayern force another corner. Sule, once again, meets Kimmich's delivery, but he can't generate enough power on his header and the visitors clear their lines.
Shot! Atletico carve open the Bayern defence, with Carrasco playing a lovely give-and-go with Felix. The former should do better with his shot, though, as he curls it straight at Neuer.
Early goals at The Etihad. Sergio Aguero has just levelled for Manchester City in their match with Porto.
Trippier receives treatment, but he is fine. Muller is still remonstrating to the referee about that decision.
Yellow card! Muller's forward momentum sees him catch Trippier. Is it even a foul? The referee brandishes the Bayern forward with a booking. Never.
Chance! Tolisso has to do better there! He makes a clever run on the overlap and is fed by Coman. Lewandowski is waiting at the back post for a tap in, but Tolisso goes for a goal from a tight angle and Oblak pushes it behind!
Off the post! Oh my, Sule should score for Bayern! Muller flicks on Kimmich's corner, the defender loses his marker and from point-blank range, pokes his left-footed shot at the woodwork.
Trippier's long throw finds Suarez, who leaves Sule in his wake. But the attack collapses.
Kimmich is sitting deeper, allowing Tolliso and Gortezka to run at the Atletico defence.
The hosts have turned the screw a little, with Goretzka and Pavard both delivering crosses from the right flank. They come to nothing, but just a couple of signs Bayern are beginning to settle.
Bayern manage to string a few passes together for the first time this evening.
So close for Lewandowski! A lovely pass into the feet of Coman allows Bayern to spring an attack. He stands up a deep cross, picking out Lewandowski, who opts for a beautiful first-time volley. It would have been some goal had it came off, but it's just wide of Neuer's far post.
- Yellow cardDavid AlabaFC Bayern Munich
Yellow card! Bayern aren't out of the traps just yet, and now Alaba goes into the book for catching Suarez with his elbow.
Atleti go close! It's a let off for Bayern! The visitors work a lovely move down the left flank, Renan Lodi bends a teasing ball across the face of goal, it's begging to be finished, but Suarez just can't reach it on the slide.
Atletico are on the front foot immediately, forcing not one but two corners. Koke takes both; Bayern deal with both.
- 1st Half
Kick-off! Bayern Munich get us underway!
Here come the players... there are just FIVE minutes until kick-off at the Allianz Arena. It's Bayern Munich, the defending champions, versus Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. It's LIVE and it's NEXT!
Wow! Real Madrid have been beaten by Shakhtar! The start of a dramatic night, perhaps?
Simeone was in no mood to celebrate after claiming his 200th La Liga win on Saturday. Celta dominated the first half and the Atletico coach wants an improvement from his side. "We're going to face the best team in the world right now," he said. "I think it's a very important game for us and we'll try to find solutions for what we had to suffer in the first half today."
Flick on Atletico Madrid: "Every Champions League match is special but to play against Atlético in the first game is a highlight. Diego Simeone has been at Atlético for nine years and has always managed to develop his team further. They have one of the best defences in Europe. When they lose the ball they are very aggressive and disciplined. I am looking forward to it. "
These sides last met in the group stages of the 2016 edition of the Champions League. Yannick Carrasco scored as Atletico won their home game, but Bayern took all three points in the reverse fixture, with Robert Lewdowski's free-kick proving the difference.
Flick on his decision to play Hernandez and not Davies: "For a young player like Alphonso Davies, it's not easy due to the sheer number of games last season and the short pre-season. We've deliberately given him the time to recharge - mentally and physically - and that's what he's been doing."
Tonight will be a special occasion for Bayern defender Hernandez, who faces his former club. "Of course I have a special attachment to Atlético," he said. "I grew up there and the club gave me everything." The full-back's form has been keeping Alphonso Davies on the bench for the majority of this season.
Atletico's neighbours Real are currently losing, at home, to Shakhtar. They were 3-0 down at half-time; they have since pulled two goals back.
Atletico Madrid have only 18 fit players tonight and Simeone has also named two goalkeepers on the bench. Jose Gimenez is still unavailable after contracting coronavirus and Saul is injured. Diego Costa pulled up in Atletico's 2-0 victory over Celta and hasn't recovered, so Joao Felix starts alongside the in-form Luis Suarez.
No great surprises in Bayern's starting XI. Joshua Kimmich had been a doubt as his wife is due to give birth to their second child, but he makes it into midfield. Robert Lewandowski will become the first player to score in 10 consecutive Champions League group stage matches if he registers tonight.
Bayern Munich XI: Neuer, Pavard, Sule, Alaba, Hernandez, Kimmich, Gortezka, Muller, Tolisso, Coman, Lewandowski.. subs: Nubel, Javi Martinez, Douglas Costa, Choupo-Moting, Zirkzee, Boateng, Davies, Sarr, Marc Roca, Musiala /// Atletico Madrid XI: Oblak, Renan Lodi, Felipe, Savic, Trippier, Koke, Herrera, Carrasco, Llorente, Joao Felix, Luis Suarez.. subs: Grbic, San Roman, Torreira, Correa, Lemar, Saponijc, Vitolo, Hermoso, Sanabria
