Lazio counter and Correa charges forward but once again it fizzles out. Lazio are picking up good positions but Bayern's backline are not giving away anything.
50'
Nubel's goal-kick is blocked by Muriqi but Lazio's attack breaks down. They are still giving their all here the Italian side but Bayern are looking relatively comfortable as you would expect from a team holding a four-goal advantage.
48'
Pavard picks out Lewandowski in the box but his shot from close range is crucially blocked by Acerbi. That was heading in. Bayern are hungry for more goals. YELLOW! For Goretzka after tripping up Lazzari to stop a Lazio counter-attack.

SUBS! We are back underway and we have one sub each. Boateng comes off for Sule and Fares - who tried to run off his injury during the break - has been replaced by Lulic.

Robert Lewandowski is rather good at football, in case you didn't know...
End of 1st Half
HALF-TIME!
Lewandowski's 39th goal of the season from the spot has Bayern in a seemingly unassailable lead as we enter the break in snowy Munich.
45'
ONE minute of added time.
44'
Fares is back on the ground holding his left knee and is receiving medical treatment. It happened after he planted his foot awkwardly into the ground following a tangling of legs with Sane. It looks like he will see out the end of this half before being subbed.
42'
There's a pause in play as Fares goes down in a heap. He is hobbling now and play will continue. Lazio urgently need a goal before the end of this entertaining first half if they are to stand any chance of a comeback.
39'
The free-kick from 25-yards out is struck by Lewandowski but it crashes off the wall. The sleet is coming down in the sub-zero temperatures in Munich just to make things more uncomfortable for Lazio. Actually, make that snow.
37'
SHOT! Sane lays the ball off to Kimmich just outside the Lazio box but his first-time effort is blocked. Moments later Bayern win a free-kick in a good position after Milinkovic-Savic cynically wipes out Gnabry. It's a yellow for the Lazio captain.

That may well crush Lazio's spirit who started this game so well, but a four-goal deficit has only been overturned once before in Champions League history and that was a rather special night in Barcelona in 2017. Bayern are playing on the front foot now.
32'
GOAL!!! Lewandowski steps up... and smashes his penalty into the bottom left corner, sending Reina the wrong way! Bayern lead 1-0 on the night and 5-1 on aggregate! That's five goals in six Champions League matches for Lewandowski. His 39th of the season and his 73rd in Champions League history.

Bayern win their first corner of the evening on the half-hour mark.... and IT'S A PENALTY! And a yellow for Acerbi for his protests. Muriqi pulled down Goretzka and it is undoubtedly a penalty.

Lazzari loses the ball and Bayern counter. Eventually, with Lazio getting all their men back, Sane cuts in and drags his low shot well wide. That was perhaps a sign of impatience from the Germany international. Lazio have defended well so far.

Lazio are showing plenty of fighting spirit but they have registered just the one shot on goal so far. YELLOW! For Radu for a poorly-timed sliding tackle, catching Lewandowski's ankle.

Radu's cross into the box finds Milinkovic-Savic, but his driven pass into a pack of sky blue and red shirts in the area is cleared away by Kimmich.
20'
Kimmich tries to weave a pass through to Sane but he overcooked it and Lazio have a goal-kick. Bayern are not looking their fluid best right now.
18'
Alaba's long ball down the left channel looking for Hernandez is disappointing and Lazio have a goal-kick. Lazio can take confidence from their start. They have nothing to lose.
16'
Lewandowski drags back Murisic and Lazio have a free-kick around 35-yards from goal. Alberto takes it quickly but Pavard heads the low cross away. The Serie A club have begun brightly in this second leg.
