GOAL! Krasnodar 0-4 Chelsea (Christian Pulisic): That puts the shine on it! Pulisic has been fantastic since he was introduced off the bench, and he grabs a deserved goal - his first of the season!

It hasn't been a convincing display, but there will be plenty of positives for Lampard to take from tonight, most notably the lively and energetic performance of Ziyech.

Mendy makes a clever stop to deny Ramirez to preserve his clean-sheet.

GOAL! Krasnodar 0-3 Chelsea (Hakim Ziyech): Ziyech marks his full debut for Chelsea with a goal! Pulisic drives down the left, feed Werner, who finds Ziyech. He turns and buries it under the goalkeeper.

Never a penalty. The defender, Martynovich - who was also booked - could do nothing about the ball striking his hand.

GOAL! Krasnodar 0-2 Chelsea (Timo Werner): Werner assumes spot-kick duties and he makes no mistake, smashing the ball past Safonov! That ought to seal it.

Another penalty to Chelsea! Pulisic's volley strikes an arm and the visitors are awarded a second spot-kick of the match! It's soft.

A Krasnodar switch.

Fresh legs, but Chelsea aren't going to change shape.

Triple Chelsea sub: Jorginho, Hudson-Odoi and Kovacic make way for Mount, Kante and Pulisic, as Lampard rings the changes, hoping to inject some much-needed energy into his side.

Mendy save! Krasnodar go close once more, with Berg slipped down the left. With options in the middle, he opts for a shot from an acute angle, but Mendy keeps it out with a strong hand.

Chance for Ziyech! Chelsea break, with Ziyech throwing a few step-overs to create the space for a shot, but he doesn't get the connected he would have liked and Safonov makes a straight forward save.

Free-kick! More defending for Chelsea to do, as Kovacic commits a foul on the edge of the penalty area. Utkin smashes his free-kick straight at the wall and then slices the rebound well wide.

Chelsea are riding their luck at the moment. They need to get a grip on the game.

Over! Krasnodar are piling the pressure on! Vilhena skips past Kovacic on the left and his cross is cleared to Chernov. He tries an ambitious effort but it's always rising.

Smolnikov runs into Werner, with the Krosnodar player hitting the turf, seemingly in some pain. Chelsea play on, but Chilwell's cross is poor. Smolnikov is then quickly back to his feet.

Kouma, who was clattered in a packed Chelsea penalty box a moment ago, is back to his feet and fit to continue.

Krasnodar hits the woodwork! Chaos ensues from the resulting corner! Gazinski volleys it into the ground and it bounces up, hitting the crossbar before Chelsea scramble clear.

Krasnodar counter quickly, Ramirez skips past Azpilicueta and feeds Gazinski. Kouma gets close enough to deflect it behind for another corner.

Jorginho slips as he tries to clear, conceding another cheap corner. Olsson is flagged offside as the hosts make a complete mess of their set-piece.

Just wide! Ziyech is involved once more as Chelsea build an attack. Kovacic peels away on the edge of the box to try a first-time volley. It drifts just wide of Safonov's far post.

Chelsea have some defending to do, as Azpilicueta rather needlessly concedes a corner, highlighting a lack of communication at the back. Fortunately, for the Blues, the set-piece comes to nothing.

  • 2nd Half

Kick-off! The ball is rolling as the second half gets underway in southern Russia!

  • End of 1st Half

Half time: There is little added time to play at the end of the first half, as Chelsea go in at the break leading by a goal to nil, thanks to Callum Hudson-Odoi's first goal in the Champions League.

Zouma's delightful pass wins Chelsea a corner, as the visitors begin to expose holes in Krasnador's defence.

Over! Azpilicueta bends a teasing cross and under pressure from the goalkeeper, Havertz heads over the bar from point-blank range. That was another huge chance, but the linesman's flag is raised for offside to spare his blushes.

That is a real gift for Chelsea. So much for Krasnodar's goalkeeper being the next big thing!

GOAL! Krasnodar 0-1 Chelsea (Callum Hudson-Odoi): Chelsea are ahead! But it's a howler from the goalkeeper Safanov. Hudson-Odoi scuffs a tame shot at goal, but it somehow squirms through the body of the goalkeeper and ends up in the back of the net.

Chilwell's cut-back is behind Werner, as another Chelsea move collapses.

Lampard shouts 'faster' at his players. Chelsea aren't passing the ball quickly enough and aside from the penalty miss, haven't tested the hosts.

There are lots of players forward in support, but Ziyech tries his luck from distance. He scuffs his shot, though, and it's a comfortable save for Safonov. Chelsea have yet to click into gear.

No penalty! VAR checks for a possible Krasnodar penalty for a Havertz nudge. But after a moment or so the decision is made and the answer is no. The right call.

Havertz is back to fulfil defensive duties to spark a Chelsea counter-attack down the left flank. Werner, however, can't pick out a team mate with his cross.

Krasnodar have had three presentable opportunities already, and Lampard won't be pleased with the way his side have approached this contest so far.

  • Kristoffer Olsson

Yellow card! Olssen is the first player to be booked this evening. He's late on Havertz.

Chance for the hosts! Krasnodar build a dangerous attack with some quick passing. Chelsea can only hold their breath as Vilhena's shot takes a deflection and almost ends up in the bottom corner! Fortunately for Chelsea, with Mendy wrong-footed, it drifts agonisingly wide.

Werner is a very good spot-kick taker. Is it time Jorginho is relieved of his duties?

Jorginho has now missed two penalties this season! His confidence will be at rock-bottom.

Jorginho misses the spot-kick! A let off for Krasnodar! After a little skip in his run-up, Jorginho sends Safonov the wrong way but sees his effort hit the frame of the goal! The ball then hits the goalkeeper and Werner can't convert the rebound.

Penalty to Chelsea! The visitors build a move down to the right, Azpilicueta's cut-back finds Werner, who has his ankles clipped by Kaio. The referee immediately points to the spot!

Ziyech effort! A first glimpse of Ziyech, who turns into space from Azpilicueta's pass, and tries to beat the goalkeeper with a shot at his near post. Safonov is alert to make his first stop of the game.

Azpilicueta makes a forward run into space from full-back but Jorginho is asking too much of the Chelsea full-back with his diagonal pass.

Mendy saves! Krasnodar are asking all of the questions so far! Havertz concedes possession, Uktkin drives forward and curls a clever shot from 20 yards that is destined for the bottom corner. Mendy is on the stretch to push it behind for a corner.

Over! The first chance of the game falls to the hosts, with Swedish striker Berg flashing a shot over from an acute angle.

Chelsea, in their funky third kit, are moving the ball round with some confidence. Kovacic builds an attack through the middle, switching it to Hudson-Odoi on the left flank, but he misplaces his cut-back pass.

  • 1st Half

Kick-off! The hosts get us underway on a mild night in Krosnodar - over 2,000 miles from London!

How weird is it to have fans back in a stadium? They're making plenty of noise.

FIVE minutes until kick-off! It's Krasnodar versus Chelsea in the Champions League, it's LIVE and it's NEXT!

Krasnodar have only played English opposition once in their 12-year history. Who, you might ask. Everton, back in 2014 in the Europa League group stage. 'The Bulls' managed to win 1-0 at Goodison and draw 1-1 at home.

Chelsea have struggled in attack recently, and based on this Twitter video they may well have their work cut out tonight. Krasnodar's goalkeeper Matvei Safonov recently received a call up to the Russian national side.

Former Newcastle player Rémy Cabella scored the winner as Krasnodar defeated PAOK to qualify for the Champions League. Remember him, Chelsea fans? He played his part as Newcastle defeated the Blues 2-1 in 2014. He's not available tonight after testing positive for coronavirus.

Pre-match stat: Chelsea have won five of their previous six matches against Russian opposition.

Lampard on Krasnodar: "I didn't have fantastic knowledge of them (before the draw), I was aware of them as a team but not in terms of individuals. Since the draw we've watched them and are very aware of them and their individual talent and collective talent as a team. I'm also aware they are new into the Champions League so will have absolute motivation. We're very focused on the game."

A total of 11,000 home supporters are allowed in tonight - a third of the Russian club's stadium capacity. As mentioned, Krasnodar are making their home debut in the Champions League proper. They drew 1-1 at Rennes in their opening Group E fixture.

Hakim Ziyech makes his first start for Chelsea, as Lampard makes FOUR changes to the side that drew 0-0 at Manchester United on Saturday. Antonio Rudiger starts for the first time this season, replacing Thiago Silva, who is rested. N'Golo Kante makes way for Mateo Kovacic in midfield. On the wing, Callum Hudson-Odoi starts ahead of Christian Pulisic.

Krasnodar XI: Safonov, Smolnikov, Kaio, Martynovich, Chernov, Vilhena, Gazinski; Utkin, Olsson, Ramírez, Berg /// Chelsea XI: Mendy, Azpilicueta, Rüdiger, Zouma, Chilwell, Hudson-Odoi, Jorginho, Kovacic, Ziyech, Werner, Havertz.. subs: Caballero, Ziger, James, Tomori, Christensen, Emerson, Kante, Mount, Pulisic, Giroud, Abraham.

Hello and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE text commentary of Chelsea's early Champions League Group E contest at FC Krasnodar. The Blues have drawn a blank in their last two matches but will be targeting goals and a victory against a side hosting their first ever CL group stage game, as Frank Lampard's men seek their first victory in Europe this term.
