FT: Real Madrid 1-1 Chelsea. Benzema ensures Real head to Chelsea for the second leg level, but Pulisic's early strike means the Londoners have that away goal.

Kroos has a pop from range. It takes a deflection and sizzles narrowly wide. Varane meets the resulting corner with a diving header but can't guide it on target.

Real have bossed the ball in the latter part of this but Chelsea have still looked very dangerous on the break. We've had so few chances in this second period, but there's still time for one game-clinching moment here.

Real's shift to a back four almost immediately backfires. Varane is caught out and concedes a free kick 22 yards out, to the far right of centre.

Chelsea make a meal of clearing a left-wing corner. Benzema sees a shot cannon off a defender and bounce around the box. Marcelo takes aim from distance but another block denies the home side.

Ziyech jinks down the left and rolls a lovely ball across the six-yard box, but Havertz can't catch up to get on the end of it.

Great feet from Mount on the edge of the box. He fakes to shoot one way, spins on to his other foot but sees his 20-yard strike well blocked by Varane.
