KICK OFF: We are underway in Brugge.
COUNTDOWN: 5 mins till kickoff!
Youngster Cole Palmer is on the bench tonight for City, having come on in the win over Burnley at the weekend and scored in the Carabao Cup last month.
Asked where the youngster is at in his development, Pep Guardiola said: “Step by step, but he's already two seasons training with us, and is completely involved in the dynamic of the group, the way we want to play.
"He extended his contract for the next years because we believe a lot in him. We know his attributes."
In all European competitions, Club Brugge are winless in 12 matches against English opponents (D3 L9) since beating Glenn Hoddle's Chelsea 1-0 in the now defunct Cup Winners' Cup in 1995.
Man City go into the game in third place in Group A - one point behind their opponents - after their defeat by PSG last month.
Club Brugge are unbeaten in their last 7 games with 4 wins in that period. And after a draw with PSG and win over Leipzig in the group so far, they will fancy themselves tonight.
The talks in the past few days has been dominated by Raheem Sterling saying he is open to a move abroad due to a lack of playing time. Sterling is again on the bench today.
Kevin De Bruyne says he understands why Sterling is frustrated with his situation at City but squad rotation is part of life at a top club.#
De Bruyne said: "Obviously rotation is important because we are playing four competitions. It's a tough task sometimes.
"But I understand the frustration because I'm a player and some players need more rhythm to get into it. Maybe Raz is somebody who needs that more. I'm personally a player who needs that also.
"Sometimes it's tough to play one game, one game not, but obviously it's the manager who has to make choices. It's very hard. We have 22, 23 internationals who are unbelievable, so whoever you pick, you will be right a lot of the time."
