SHOT! Mendes drives forward, cuts onto his right boot and fires a shot off his weaker foot, but it rolls into the grateful arms of Ederson.

Mbappe is down in some pain after colliding with Rodri. He gets up and is limping but the 22-year-old looks like he will be able to shake this off.

Zinchenko's dangerous cross looking for Silva is headed clear by Kimpembe who is facing his own goal! That was an awkward but important clearance made by the France international.

Mahrez's early ball into the box is flicked on by Gundogan but it's just too high for Silva at the far post! City are starting to ramp up the pressure...

BIG CHANCE! Mahrez curls a shot on goal from inside the box which looks destined for the top corner but Hakimi gets in the way and heads it over the bar! Gundogan's corner finds Dias in the box but he heads over the bar.

SAVE! By Ederson to deny Mendes from close-range on the rebound. But Neymar was offside when he picked the ball up on the edge of the box and fired a shot on goal.

Kimpembe is caught in possession but Paredes helps out his team-mate and produces a vital tackle. PSG have already shown lapses of concentration on the ball in this opening quarter hour and City look ready to pounce at any given moment.

This is already looking like we should be in for a great game. Both sides are moving the ball at frightening speed and it is like watching basketball at times. Mahrez goes down in the box but it is an excellent interception from Mendes.

Silva's cross into the box finds Sterling but Hakimi can clear before he can properly control it. Mbappe storms up the pitch on the counter-atack and feeds it to Messi. He combines with Neymar before Rodri makes a vital interception to break up the attack.

Neymar's shot outside the box is blocked by Stones. That was better from PSG who have already shown signs they will threaten on the counter-attack.

PSG are starting to play some football of their own but Herrera gives it away to Silva. Zinchenko looks set to pull the trigger outside the box on the break but Paredes pinches it off him. Tonight is only Zinchenko's sixth appearance for City this season.

OFF THE LINE! A City free-kick into the box is headed across goal by Rodri before Kimpembe, who is running towards goal, heads it off the line! The following corner comes to nothing.

City have ten men in the PSG half and the visitors are having to soak this up for now. Pochettino's side are struggling to retain the ball which has been a consistent theme this season.

So it appears City are playing a back four. Cancelo is at left-back with Zinchenko starting in central midfield. Sterling is playing on the left wing with Silva through the middle and Mahrez on the right flank. City have had nearly all of the ball so far.

A point for Manchester City tonight and they go through to the knockout stages. For Paris Saint-Germain, a win will see them seal their place in the next round. Both sides are desperate to win the Champions League this season and we should be in for a cracker at the Etihad Stadium this evening!

Another significant piece of team news this evening is Sergio Ramos (remember him?) is on the bench for PSG. He is yet to make his debut for the Ligue 1 club due a persistent calf problem. His last competitive match was for Real Madrid against Chelsea in the Champions League quarter-finals on May 5.
