Abraham was prolific in the Championship two seasons ago during a loan spell with Bristol City in which he scored 23 goals in 41 league appearances.
The 20-year-old spent the 2017/18 campaign on loan at Swansea City, but he will now continue his development at Villa Park after a difficult season at the Liberty Stadium.
Abraham told the club’s official website: “I’m excited for this new chapter.
“Aston Villa are a big club that belongs in the Premier League and I’m here to help them achieve that.

“At this stage of my career, I need games and this is a great place for me to come and showcase my talent. I can’t wait to get started."
Abraham is the Championship club’s seventh signing of the summer following the arrivals of John McGinn, Orjan Nyland, Anwar El Ghazi, Andre Moreira, Yannick Bolasie and Axel Tuanzebe.
Villa are currently fourth in the Championship after collecting nine points from their opening five matches.
Abraham’s arrival is set to pave the way for Albert Adomah to join Middlesbrough for the duration of the 2018/19 season.
