GOOD GOALKEEPING! Schmeichel races off his line to poke the ball clear as Valencia was bearing down on goal after running onto a long ball.
United have a corner down the right. Bailly jumps in with Gray and concedes a foul and loses his boot in the process. He is on a yellow card and is walking a tight rope..

Musa's pass to Vardy was intercepted but Fellaini for some reason played a short pass back towards de Gea which the striker ran onto to score.

CHANCE! Musa has space after a mistake by Bailly but drags his cross behind Vardy and the move breaks down.
Double challenge from Bailly, first on Musa then on Mahrez. He has not been afraid to dive in on his competitive debut.
Leicester earn a free-kick just in the United half after Vardy is tripped by Carrick. They play it short but the move breaks down.

Double change for the Foxes as United get the second half underway.
And that is half-time. United lead 1-0 courtesy of a fine solo effort from Lingard. Leicester hit the bar through Okazaki and have improved as the game has gone on.
There will be one added minute of stoppage time.
Mahrez tries a couple of stepovers on the edge of the box, he is tackled and is claiming it was a foul by Shaw but the ball is cleared. The Algerian has been well under par so far.
Expect changes from both sides at the break having named strong benches.
It has been a subdued start from Zlatan, who has had to use his physical strength to help him adapt.

Shaw bursts forward and sends in an inviting cross which Huth does well to head clear, he has looked impressive.
Leicester will feel slightly hard done by after hitting the woodwork but their defence lost concentration for the goal.
He may have had a bit of luck with the way the ball bounced and Morgan missing his challenge but it was a brilliant solo run from Lingard.

WOODWORK! From the corner Okazaki rattles the crossbar with a glanced header at the near post, De Gea was well beaten.
OKAZAKI CHANCE! Vardy gets the better of Bailly again, feeds Okazaki's whose deflected effort from the edge of the area trickles wide for a corner.
Mourinho's side have had 69 per cent possession but have only created a couple of chances.
Good battle between Lingard and Fuchs on the byline, the defender keeps his cool and its a goal kick.
FELLAINI SHOT! Zlatan flicks the ball on for the Belgian whose hooked shot on the turn is parried by the keeper.
Ouch! Bailly with a late challenge on the back of Vardy's foot, no foul was given. The defender has looked nervy on his debut so far.

It has been a very pedestrian start, Leicester happy to soak up the pressure and hit United on the counter attack.
Shaw has been getting forward at every opportunity, is good to see him back after that double leg break against PSV last September.
CLOSE! Vardy goes on a jinking run into the box, Blind comes in with an important challenge in the six yard area as the striker was about to shoot.
Blind looks to be playing alongside Bailly in the absence of Smalling. United passing it around very patiently in the opening minutes.

This will be Manchester United's 30th appearance in the Community Shield and they have won it on 20 occasions. But Jose lost three of his four appearances as Chelsea boss, including to United in 2007.
Foxes skipper Wes Morgan said his side are determined to show last season's title triumph was no "fluke"."We have got each others’ backs. As a squad we want to stick together," he told the BBC. "We have lost Kante but the nucleus is the same and we have the same spirit. We want to show it is not a fluke. We have to be ready for the onslaught."
United will definitely win the Community Shield..according to Zlatan. "I'm used to winning trophies, I didn't come here to waste time," he told MUTV. "That is the first trophy we will bring home. For me, every trophy is very serious. I have collected 30 trophies and I want to collect more of them. I'm not satisfied until I collect everything."
Claudio Ranieri leaves new signings Musa and Mendy on the bench, its essentially the same team that won the title last season minus Kante.
