FULL TIME IN ET: Cornella 0-2 Barcelona

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Cornella 0 Barcelona 2 (120 mins - Martin Braithwaite). Barcelona put the finishing touches on the victory. Pedri burst into the Cornella penalty area completely unopposed, he squared for Braithwaite and the Danish striker finished into the empty net! Barca will be in the next round of the Copa.

That should be game over. Cornella can be very pleased with how they have played this evening, but in the end they just weren't ruthless in front of goal. They didn't take their chances.

SENT OFF! Albert Estelles (Cornella) - the home side are reduced to 10 men after a late challenge by Estelles on Araujo by the corner flag. Cornella will finish the match with 10 men.

Dembele gets the cross into the Cornella penalty area, but it's well defended and the home side survive. Time is running out for them to find a late equaliser, though.

De la Fuente surges forward with the ball at his feet and wins a corner kick. The American winger has made a good impression since coming off the bench for Barcelona.

Koeman will be relieved if Barcelona win this match. This has been a difficult experience for the Catalan giants, but they could escape with their place in the Copa del Rey last 16.

Is there a late twist left in this match? Cornella have had more than their fair share of opportunities, but have yet to take one. Will they rue that or can they create another?

In other news... Luis Suarez has just scored his second, and what looks to be a late winner, for Atletico Madrid in their match against Eibar. How Barcelona miss the striker...

Neto makes another save to prevent a strike from distance finding the back of the net. The Barcelona goalkeeper has been kept busy this evening. Had lots to do.

PICTURE: Dembele scored the opener

Ousmane Dembele of Barcelona celebrates with Martin Braithwaite, Ronald Araujo and team mates after scoring their side's first goal during the Copa del Rey match between Cornella and FC Barcelona on January 21, 2021 in Barcelona, Spain.

The introduction of both Busquets and Pedri has made a big difference to this Barcelona team. The Catalan giants now have control of things in the centre of the pitch. Much better.

Firpo enters the referee's book for a late tackle.

Cornella now have to throw everything they have at Barcelona for these final 15 minutes. They have created chances of their own and must believe they can create another.

The second half of extra time is under way! Barcelona have a 1-0 lead over Cornella in this Copa del Rey round of 32 tie!

HALF TIME IN ET: Cornella 0-1 Barcelona

It was Griezmann who came off for de la Fuente. The French forward had been in good form for Barcelona recently, but he struggled to find his shooting boots this evening.

Another Ramon save! This time the Cornella goalkeeper makes a stunning diving stop to prevent de la Fuente from scoring his first senior goal for Barcelona! Ramon. What a game.

PICTURE: Griezmann has missed a few chances

Antoine Griezmann of Barcelona reacts after missing a chance during the Copa del Rey match between Cornella and FC Barcelona on January 21, 2021 in Barcelona, Spain.

Barcelona can't get complacent here. They have been the better team, they now have the lead, but Cornella have already shown they won't back down. They will have a go.

Medina enters the referee's book for a late challenge on Mingueza.

There’s no denying Barcelona have a lot of attacking talent to use, but Koeman frequently lacks the tactical and strategic nous to get the best out of those players. That’s a bit of a problem.

One of the things Koeman has been criticised for during his time as Barcelona manager is his changes off the bench. Far too often he just throws on forwards in the hope they will produce something.

PICTURE: Ramon has saved two penalties!

Cornellá, Barcelona

Dembele has given Barcelona some much needed attacking drive since he came off the bench, although the French winger's penalty kick was one of the worst I have ever seen.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Cornella 0 Barcelona 1 (92 mins - Ousmane Dembele). At long last, Barcelona have found the back of the net and it's Dembele! The Frenchman took aim from 25 yards out and lashed home a finish! There was nothing Ramon could do about that! It was an unstoppable strike from Dembele!

So Cornella are just 30 minutes away from knocking out Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in back to back rounds. They have looked dangerous and have had a number of chances!

The first half of extra time is under way! It's still 0-0 between Cornella and Barcelona in this Copa del Rey last 32 tie!

FULL TIME: Cornella 0-0 Barcelona - into extra time!

That was close! Lenglet got on the end of a corner kick delivery into the Cornella penalty are, but the ball bounces inches wide of the far post. Looks like we're going to extra time.

This has been a game about the goalkeepers. Both Ramon and Neto have had excellent matches, the former in particular. Barcelona's attack have struggled to find their range.

There will be three minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the match.

What a save! Ramon is having the game of his life! This time he tips a drive from Pjanic on to the crossbar! That was inches away from being a late, late winner for Barcelona!

Is there enough time for Barcelona to find a late winner here? Or for Cornella to secure their place in the last 16 of the Copa del Rey? They have already knocked out Atletico Madrid!

BRAITHWAITE... wide! What a chance for the Danish striker to finally break the deadlock, but he shoots wide! Braithwaite slices his effort with the goal gaping for him.

Neto makes another save! This time it's the Barcelona goalkeeper who is called upon to make a save, but Eloy's header from eight yards out didn't have the power to beat Neto.

Barcelona had been building some momentum until the Copa del Rey final defeat to Athletic Club. How they respond to that loss at the weekend will say a lot about them as a group. Going on tonight’s evidence, not well...

It's just not happening for Barcelona this evening. They have now missed the chance to score two penalties and time is running out for them to win this in normal time.

ANOTHER PENALTY KICK SAVED! Dembele steps up and it's a dreadful spot kick by the Frenchman! Ramon didn't even have to move to make the save with his foot! Incredible!

PENALTY KICK TO BARCELONA! Lenglet is pole-axed by a high foot in the box and Barca have a second spot kick!

Neto might have anticipated a quiet evening, but the Barcelona goalkeeper has had to be in good form for his team this evening. Cornella have tested him a number of times!

In fact, there have been reports recently that Barcelona are unhappy with PSG’s public courtship of Messi. The French champions have been openly flirting with the 33-year-old, it must be said.

There has been speculation linking Messi with both Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain. PSG in particular are seen as genuine suitors for the Argentine forward. There is a lot of talk.

Trincao's game is over. He is replaced by Pedri for the final 15 minutes.

Those associated with Barcelona had hoped the outcome of the presidential election would help Messi make a decision on his future, but election day has now been pushed back due to the pandemic.

The situation regarding Messi’s future continues to simmer in the background. Of course, the Argentine forward is out of contract at the end of the season. He is free to talk to other clubs.

Neto called upon again! Another good effort from Medina, but the Barcelona goalkeeper gets down well to make the save and keep Cornella out. Neto's handling had to be good.

On comes Busquets. Is that really the change Barca need with 20 minutes to go?

Ilaix shoots over! The space opened up for the young Barcelona midfielder to take aim from distance, but Ramon was never worried by that. He watches Ilaix's shot flash over!

De Jong has been in good form of late. Koeman is using the Dutch midfielder in a more advanced position and that seen the former Ajax man improve his tally in front of goal. Barca have missed him tonight.

Koeman looks furious on the touchline. Barcelona have been really poor this evening. It wouldn't be much of a surprise at this point of Cornella won this match. They are growing.

Koeman could have used Garcia in his squad this month. Barcelona are light for options at the back. Pique is sidelined through injury at the moment and Lenglet is struggling for form.

There was hope that Barcelona would complete a deal for Eric Garcia, but the suggestion now is that the Manchester City defender won’t pitch up at the Camp Nou until the end of the season.

Of course, the January transfer window is open, but Barcelona aren’t expected to be busy, at least in terms of incoming signings. There is just too much financial and political uncertainty at the club.

Barcelona are having to do some real defending here as the home side start to get comfortable in the attacking third. Cornella are committing players forward as they press!

There have been real questions asked of Barcelona this season and the direction the club is heading in at the moment. A Copa del Rey win would show some signs of progress. Work to do here.

Barcelona are living on the edge a bit here. This time a left footed strike is lashed wide of Neto's post. Cornella are starting to believe they could actually win this. Growing in stature.

Neto keeps it out! Medina angles a powerful low strike at goal from 25 yards out, but the Barcelona goalkeeper gets down to make the save! That could have easily found the back of the net!

That was close! Good chance for Griezmann to score the opener! Pjanic clipped a freekick pass over the Cornella defence, but the French forward could only shoot over on the full volley!

Presa is shown a yellow card for a late tackle in the centre of the pitch.

Koeman isn’t really using Griezmann in a different way or anything. The Frenchman just seems to have embraced his duties in this Barcelona team and he has found some good form as a result.

One Barcelona player who has been in great form recently is Griezmann. The French forward has had a direct hand in seven goals in his last four appearances for the Catalans in all competitions.

It should be said that Barcelona don't look so comfortable on this plastic pitch. They are struggling to find their passing flow. The ball tends to slow down on these type of surfaces.

Barcelona won the Copa del Rey four times in a row between 2015 and 2018. However, they lost the 2019 final to Valencia and were knocked out in the quarter finals last season.

Pedri has been one of the big success stories of this season for Barcelona. Indeed, the teenage playmaker has become a key part of Koeman’s side. His understanding with Messi is very strong. Not involved tonight.

Araujo looks to have picked up something of a knock, but the Barcelona centre back looks fine to continue. He has become an important player for Koeman this season.

PICTURE: Still no breakthrough

Cornellá, Barcelona

It should be noted that Dembele came on for Puig at the half time interval.

Ramon denies Braithwaite! That should have been a Barcelona goal! Griezmann deflected a pass into the path of Braithwaite, but the Dane shoots straight at the goalkeeper! What a chance!

Koeman will surely want better from his team in this second half. Barcelona missed a penalty kick, but besides that they have struggled to create many scoring opportunities.

The second half is under way! It's still goalless between Cornella and Barcelona in thos Copa del Rey round of 32 tie!

HALF TIME: Cornella 0-0 Barcelona. Still waiting for the breakthrough in this Copa del Rey round of 32 tie, but Barca have had a penalty kick saved through Pjanic!

Dorca slides wide! That was a decent opportunity for the home side to find the back of the Barcelona net, but Dorca gets it all wrong and slices high and wide of Neto's goal.

PENALTY KICK SAVED! Wow! What a moment for Ramon! The Cornella goalkeeper goes the right way and makes a solid save to deny Pjanic from the spot! It's still level pegging!

Estelles is shown a yellow card for his high foot on Araujo inside the box. Pjanic to take the penalty.

PENALTY KICK TO BARCELONA! Estelles fouls Araujo inside the box and the referee points to the spot!

There is a sense that Barcelona are finally starting to turn the screw on their lower league opponents. They are upping the intensity and tempo of their attacking play.

PICTURE: A rare start for Pjanic.

Miralem Pjanic of Barcelona is challenged by Javier Ontiveros Robles of Cornella during the Copa del Rey match between Cornella and FC Barcelona on January 21, 2021 in Barcelona, Spain.

Last season saw Barcelona survive a scare at this stage of the Copa del Rey. Indeed, it took two late goals from Griezmann for the Catalans to beat Ibiza and make the last 16.

Eloy heads over! That was the best chance Cornella have created so far! The freekick delivery into the Barcelona box was a good one, but Eloy could only head over the target.

While this season has been a difficult one for Barcelona, there has been some green shoots of encouragement in the number of young players who have become key figures under Koeman. Some of them on display tonight.

Koeman doesn't look too happy with the way his Barcelona team has played this first half so far. While they have seen more of the ball, the Catalan giants aren't in complete control.

Cornella play just a couple hundred yards away from Espanyol’s RCDE Stadium. So this is a part of the world Barcelona know relatively well. They have visited across the road countless number of times.

That's the closest we have come to a goal in the opening 30 minutes of this match. Trincao has actually looked the liveliest of the three Barcelona attackers until this point.

TRINCAO... saved! This time the Barcelona attacker makes a clean connection after being set up from the corner kick on the edge of the box, but Ramon makes the save through bodies!

The injuries have been piling up for Barcelona recently. Messi is suspended for this evening, but the Catalans are also without Ansu, Coutinho and Pique who are all on the treatment table at the moment.

Another half chance! Cornella tease a cross into the Barcelona box from the right wing, but Lenglet was in front of his man to make the intevention. He was offside anyway.

Trincao volleys wide! That was a half chance for the Barcelona forward to find the back of the net, but he shoots wide. The summer signing is still waiting for his first Barca goal.

Danger for Barca! A Cornella header in the penalty area causes some mayhem for Barcelona, but there's an offside flag up there and they surive. The hosts are giving this a go!

PICTURE: Still goalless

Cornellá, Barcelona

Messi was shown red in that defeat to Athletic Club on Sunday. The Argentine will tonight serve the first of a two-game suspension. How will Barcelona cope without their top scorer and best player?

In behind! Cornella gave up the ball on the edge of their own box which gave Griezmann the chance to play a pass in behind for Braithwaite, but the Dane has to settle for a corner.

Barcelona come into this match on the back of a disappointing defeat to Athletic Club in the final of the Spanish Supercopa. The Catalans conceded late on and then lost the match in extra time!

There is a lot of excitement around Ilaix this evening. The young midfielder is making his senior debut for Barcelona here and there has already been some glimpses of his potential.

Penalty claim! Barcelona believe they should have been awarded a spot kick for a handball from a Ilaix cross into the box, but that seems to come off the chest of the defender.

For whatever reason, Koeman doesn't seem to be much of a fan of Puig. The young midfielder has subsequently been linked with a move away from Barcelona to Arsenal.

There's a place for Puig in the Barcelona lineup this evening. Despite making his first team breakthrough last season, a lot of questions have been asked about the youngster's future.

Of course, last night also saw Alcoyano knock Real Madrid out of the Copa del Rey. And Celta Vigo were eliminated by Ibiza earlier in the competition. The single-game knockout format has produced more upsets!

Cornella come into this match having knocked out La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid in the last round of the Copa del Rey. This is a team that Barcelona have to be wary of this evening.

Cornella boast one of the best youth academies in Catalonia. They aren't a professional club, but are renowned for their ability to produce young players for the professional game.

After a shaky period in the match, Barcelona are now taking the opportunity to knock the ball around the centre of the pitch and gain control of the contest. Cornella standing off.

Neto palms away! The Barcelona goalkeeper was called into action there as a Cornella corner kick was whipped towards the back post, but Neto palms it away from danger.

Medina is shown the first yellow card of the match for... time wasting? After nine minutes?!

Cornella have had some joy in winning corner kicks and set pieces. Barcelona being put under some pressure in the air in the early stages of this Copa del Rey tie.

This is an artificial surface that Barcelona are playing on this evening. It doesn't even look like one of the better artificial surfaces you sometimes see in the Champions League.

It's a cold, but dry, evening in Spain for this one. Perfect conditions for a cup tie. It's not quite a cold Tuesday night in Stoke, but it's not far off for a team of Barcelona's calibre.

After a decent start by Barcelona, it's actually Cornella who are now pressing for an opening goal. They aren't showing any fear against the Catalan giants. Still early, though.

A long throw in into the Barcelona box is defended well and cleared well up the pitch. Set pieces and long throw ins could be crucial to Cornella's chances of pulling off an upset.

Barcelona have started on the front foot. They will be keen to avoid a cup upset and to avoid the nerves that can come with a match like this the longer it remains goalless.

The match is under way! It's Cornella against Barcelona in this Copa del Rey round of 32 tie!

Okay, here we go. We are about to get under way. Kick off is just moments away.

No Alba for Barcelona this evening. Instead, Firpo has been given a chance to impress at left back.

This is an opportunity for some fringe players and youngsters to make their mark for Barca.

Not long until kick off in what is something of a Catalan derby. Can Cornella follow the lead of numerous lower league teams who have pulled off shocks in tha Copa del Rey this season?

I'm Graham Ruthven and you can catch me on Twitter ahead of the match to let me know your thoughts. Can Cornella pull off a huge upset against Barcelona tonight? Tweet me - @grahamruthven!

Koeman has rotated his Barcelona squad for this match, but there are still a number of senior figures in the lineup. Griezmann is the most notable name. He starts on the left side of the attack.

TEAM NEWS: Cornella - Ramon, Estelles, Dorca, Presa, Eloy, Marcet, Guzman, Moreno, Borja, Medina, Ontiveros. /// Barcelona - Neto, Mingueza, Lenglet, Araujo, Junior, Pjanic, Ilaix, Puig, Griezmann, Braithwaite, Trincao.
