Hello and welcome to LIVE text commentary of the Group E clash between Republic of Ireland and Italy at Stade Pierre-Mauroy. The situation is simple; RoI must win to qualify for the last 16. The Italians have already secured their passage as group winners. Kick off 8pm UK time.

KICK OFF! Italy get us underway.

PERMUTATIONS: Italy are already through as group winners. They meet Spain next. A win would see RoI finish at least third with four points. That is enough to see them into the last 16. O'Neill's men could sneak second spot but would need Sweden to beat Belgium and to secure a margin of victory at least two goals greater than the Scandinavians.

Roy Keane, Ireland assistant manager: "We'll learn a lot about our character against Italy. This is where courage comes into it - courage as a sportsman. Boxing is the best one, you're in the ring one v one. Now we have lads who are representing Ireland in a huge game. We know there is more to come from these players, so there would be a real feeling of anti-climax if we did not get a result and felt we left something behind. You run and you run and you run and keep going until the game is over and, after the game, don't worry if you're shattered - we'll carry you off the pitch."

It's all change with the line-ups in both camps. Italy make eight from the victory over Sweden while Ireland opt for four following their thumping loss versus Belgium. Only Florenzi, Barzagli and Bonucci remain in the starting XI for the Azzurri while O'Neill is going for the win with two up top. James McClean starts on the right wing with Daryl Murphy partnering Shane Long in attack. Defenders John O'Shea and Ciaran Clark also come in.

Ireland coach Martin O'Neill: "We have a really great game against Italy to look forward to, to put our immediate disappointment to the side, and if we can win this game we give ourselves an incredible chance of qualification."

Italy coachAntonio Conte: "This is a game where those that have played less can take part in. In any case, I don't expect our approach to change. There are no starters or reserves in this team, only 23 players and a coaching staff that win and lose together. We are very focused, this is an important game for us."
