Switzerland have one foot in the knockout stages of an international tournament following this 1-1 draw with Romania at the Parc des Princes. Switzerland have four points from their two matches, while Romania will probably need to beat Albania in their final group match.

Tatarusanu time wastes with the free kick, to the dismay of both the Romania and Swiss fans. Embolo then gets a yellow card for a tackle on Grigore after losing control of the ball on the edge of the area.

Chipciu, who has been quiet in the second half, overhits a cross to the far post towards Keseru.

Shani Tarashaj, Everton's January signing, replaces Shaqiri for the three minutes of injury-time.

Lichsteiner and Lang combine down the right but Tatarusanu is across to catch the ball at full stretch.

Torje has a rare corner for Romania, but he is unable to find Chiriches in the area and Switzerland can clear.

Tatarusanu comes to confidently take Rodriguez's angled free-kick into the area. The Wolfsburg defender has disappointed with his free-kicks today.

Lichsteiner plays in Embolo down the right channel, but the Basel forward fouls Grigore as the pair compete for the ball.

35-year-old Michael Lang replaces Dzemaili for Switzerland, while Florin Andone comes on for Romania goalscorer Stancu.

Filip fails to pass to Stancu from two yards down the left and a promising Romania move comes shuddering to an end.

Stancu tries to build something down the right, but Hoban is penalised for a high foot on Lichsteiner from Torje's mishit first-time pass.

Grigore only half clears a ball down the right channel, but Dzemaili tries an optimistic volley from the dropping ball when a pass to Embolo was the better option.

Shaqiri's free-kick hits the wall, and Mehmedi is unable to get any power on his follow-up shot.

Grigore gets a yellow card for a foul on Embolo form Dzemaili's through ball. Switzerland have a free-kick 20 yards from goal.

Rodriguez floats up a ball to the back post but Shaqiri shins his acrobatic scissor kick well over Tatarusanu's crossbar.

Embolo chases down a long ball from Mehmedi which Tatarusanu comes out to deal with. His clearance is underhit, but enough yellow shirts get back to deal with the danger.

Embolo tries to beat Chiriches down the left but the Napoli defender does well to check the danger.
