A fine win from the Netherlands which takes them through to the second round. Austria will need to get something from their third match against the Ukraine.
Malan races through on goal but smashes the ball wide of the goal from a fairly narrow angle.
Good defending from Hinteregger to deny Wijnaldum a goal to seal a fantastic performance. Initially the ex-Liverpool man turned him in the box but he recovered to win a sliding challenge.
Chance for Onisiwo after a fine ball from Kalajdzic but he heads tamely straight at the keeper.
Luuk de Jong comes on for Depay.
Alaba hits a superb effort that curls just wide of Skelenberg's post with the keeper scrambling.
Ulmer puts in a cross which Ake heads clear.
There have been far more talented Dutch sides but they look very well organised, as they have all competition barring a five minute spell against the Ukraine.
Lazaro takes the corner and de Ligt just touches the ball behind for a corner. A bit too close for comfort.
Immediately Lazaro's pace looks like it could be dangerous getting behind the Dutch defence and forcing Ake to c oncede a corner.
Lazaro comes on for Baumgartner in a last throw of the dice for Austria.
Bachmann gets a yellow card for running to the linesman to implore for an offside.
GOAL FOR NETHERLANDS! Malen breaks the offside trap and squares for Dumfries to finish past the despairing dive of Bachmann who got a hand to the effort.
Ake, Malen and Wijndal come on for Blind, Weghorst and van Aanholt for the Dutch.
Laimer and Gregoritsch come off for Grillitsch and Kalajdzic for Austria.
Wijnaldum wins the ball just outside the box and feeds van Aanholt but the Crytal Palace wing back couldn't get the ball back to the midfield general.
So close! A deep corner from Depay is headed back into the danger area by Weghorst where de Vrij sees a header stopped by Bachmann and then de Ligt hits the rebound towards goal but it is deflected wide.
Austria have not won in the Netherlands since the Wunderteam did so in 1933 and do not look like breaking this hoodoo tonight.
Baumgartner races into the Dutch box dangerously but cannot get a cross in.
Austria are having some good possession in the third quarter of the field, from the half-way line to 25 yards from the Dutch goal but cannot play a pass through the very organised Dutch defence at the business end of the field.
