Good evening and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE commentary of Czech Republic and The Netherlands in the opening round of Group A in the European Championship Qualifiers. Holland's new boss Guus Hiddink - who returns to the helm for the second time - will be hoping he can build on Louis Van Gaal's impressive third place finish at the World Cup but his side faces a difficult challenge in Prague tonight against a Czech Republic side determined to get off to a good start and reach France in two years time.

GOAAAALLL! FORGET THE POINT, THEY'VE TAKEN ALL THREE! Pilar is left with a simple tap in after a clumsy backwards header by Jamaat hits the post and leaves the Czech substitute with an open net! Unbelievable!

This would be a decent point for Czech Republic if the scoreline remains and would at least be a starting point for the coach who has lost his first four matches in charge.

Depay breaks into the penalty area and tries to beat Prochazka, but is unable to find a way past.

Kaderabek coolly chests the ball back to his 'keeper after a cross from the visitors was delivered harmlessly.

HOW DID HE MISS? Prochazka has missed a sitter for the hosts! After another well worked corner, the big centre half was odds on to head home the cross but somehow powers his effort over the bar!

DEPAY! Should have done better really as he gets on the end of a wonderful cross from Narsingh but his header is weak and Cech makes a save from six yards!

Czech Republic are looking for the winner and they're still threatening as a cross is delivered towards Vydra who is unable to connect with a header, under pressure from Martins Indi.

Sneijder delivers a low cross towards the near post but no team mate is in sight. Blind gathers the loose ball but shoots well wide.

The game has rather fizzled out in the last few moments. We have little over 15 minutes to play, can either side nick the three points?

Martins Indi goes into the book for a late tackle. He needs to be careful for the remainder of the match. He was sent off last week in a 2-0 defeat to Italy.

The linesman brings a very promising Czech Republic attack to an abrupt end and it was a tight, very tight call.

Van Persie has almost disappeared in this second period, and his recent international record is quite concering for the Dutch, he has scored only one goal in his last five compared to five goals in the five games previous.

CZECH SUB: Kredji - who has had an impressive match - is replaced by Vaclav Pilar.

ALMOST! Czech Republic almost re-take the lead as a free-kick is delivered towards the back post towards Prochazka who had lost his marker but he also missed the ball.
