FULL-TIME. Absolutely awful from the Netherlands. They haven't qualified and they haven't deserved to in any way, shape or form throughout this campaign. The Czech Republic have held on to a solid win despite being down to ten men. The right result. Thanks for your company this evening.
Van Persie is basically throwing any possible part of his body towards the ball at this point.
Ah, and Turkey have scored - they'll be in the play-offs, and the Netherlands fail.
Van Persie throws himself dramatically to the ground en route to a flick-on from Dost. No penalty, Robin. Come on, now.
GOAL! Van Persie redeems himself a little with that nudge on.
More optimistic hefts up front.
Some very tough challenges coming in now as the Netherlands try to reclaim something. Huntelaar is on thin ice.
Odd, mishit, bobbling shot from Sneijder, and Cech's save is textbook.
This is unattractive stuff from Holland. You wouldn't think they're the ones with the numerical advantage.
GOAL! There's one back, courtesy of Huntelaar. Perhaps this is going to be the start of a magical comeback!
El Ghazi has worked hard today. Lens replaces him.
GOAL! Well, van Persie has scored. But it's an own goal. Absolutely shambolic from the Netherlands - he's trying to tap it back to his keeper but instead nods it neatly past him.
Abysmal day at the office for van Dijk, who makes way for Dost.
Two-thirds of the way through the match, now, and the Netherlands don't really seem any nearer recovering this situation for themselves.
Now, Blind needs to be a little more careful here - he's already been booked and can't afford careless fouls. He apologises to the referee quickly for his poor timing.
Van Persie links up with Memphis, who's shuffled over by some solid defending and misaligns his shot.
Sneijder is coming out of his shell a little; van Persie gets himself in a knot in front of goal but at least there are some chances developing.
The Czech Republic have made a change to accommodate their ten men - Prochazka replaces Necid.
Right. The clock is ticking for the Netherlands!
HALF-TIME. Shambles from the Netherlands, but a glimmer of hope with that red card.
Good save there, Cech from El Ghazi, but the flag was up anyway.
Van Persie has a go from the free kick, it goes out for a corner, which again isn't a great one.
RED CARD! Now then! Czech Republic down to 10, as Suchy is sent off for denying a goalscoring opportunity, coming in on Memphis.
Van Dijk tries to get himself on the end of a Sneijder free kick, but doesn't come close.
There's a roar of excitement as van Persie gets the ball out wide, but he can't do this himself.
Riedewald makes way for van Persie, whose entrance is greeted with delirium.
And van Persie is stripped off and ready to make his appearance.
GOAL! Oh, chaos. Czech Republic throw-in gets flicked into the box, and van Dijk dances round the chance of putting in a challenge on Sural, who stumbles but still prods home.
El Ghazi looks like he still has some plans and some spark about him, but he's not getting into the box.
Robin van Persie is warming up. No, really.
Credit to the Czech Republic, though, they've taken excellent advantage of their chance and the space they were offered.
And now the now-traditional Dutch fear and panic is beginning to emerge.
GOAL! This is not good, Netherlands. Terrific finish from Kaderabek, cantering up the right wing, and Zoet dives too early as that runs across in front of him and into the net. If the scores stay the same, Netherlands do not qualify...
Poor goalkeeping from Zoet, who doesn't come out quite far enough and fails to make contact with the cross.
Booking for Huntelaar, who's been giving Darida a bit of stick and backs into him clumsily here.
Zoet is settling in OK after stepping in for the injured pair of Cillesen and Krul - solid stop there of Plasil's effort.
It is noticeable how much possession and intent the Netherlands have.
El Ghazi is off on the right and his cross pings through the box before falling to Sneijder, who should have done better there.
Good shot from Plasil there, but it takes a significant deflection and out of danger.
And Memphis has a shot, but that's rather wild and high.
All Netherlands at the moment. Pavelka has a nasty fall, bumping his hip heavily on the ground.
Corner to Holland, and Sneijder returns that pleasantly to the hands of Petr Cech.
Sorry, I apologise - that was El Ghazi - he had a good game the other day and looked like he's got huge potential. He'll need to do better with chances like that, though.
Oh, and there's Wijnaldum through on goal with just the keeper to beat, but he opts instead to shoot straight at him.
Here we go, then - the Netherlands kick us off.
The teams are trekking out on to the pitch, accompanied by the tiny mascots, and orange streamers are thrown around the place.
