FULL-TIME: Turkey 3-0 Netherlands

Memphis has his pocket picked from a corner kick, allowing Turkey to come forward on the counter attack. But they decide to keep hold of the ball in an attempt to see out this game.

It's just not Netherlands' day. Van Persie makes the good run in behind the Turkish defence, latching on to a through ball by Memphis, but the Fenerbahce striker fires it wide from a tight angle.

There was a lengthy stoppage after the third goal, plus all those changes, so that explains why so much time has been added on. Still not enough for Holland to mount a comeback.

Five minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the second half.

This result wll completely revive Turkey's chances of making it to France next summer. They will now move into third place in the group with only two games left to be played of this campaign.

YELLOW CARD: Ozan Tufan (Turkey)

And that will be that. Holland feel they should have had a freekick for the challenge on Van Der Wiel, and they do have something of a point - but the Dutch simply haven't been god enough.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Turkey 3 (85 mins - Burak Yilmaz) Netherlands 0. And there's the third goal, and there's the three points for Turkey. Yilmaz turns on the ball inside the box and fires a deflected shot in to the roof of the net.

What can Holland do to break down this Turkish backline? The hosts have been well organised at the back in the second half, which is surprising because they were shoddy in the first half.

Turkey sub: Oguzhan Ozyakup OFF, Olcay Sahan ON.

This is relentless pressure from the Dutch. Turkey are now camped deep inside their box, but for the moment are repelling everything that is being thrown at them - and a lot is being thrown at them.

The home crowd want to see more attacking movement from their team. They're not very happy with the way they are sitting deep and inviting pressure on top of themselves.

This is where Netherlands need to be careful. They are pressing high up the pitch and are now leaving just two defenders back to deal with attacks, but Turkey are looking to counter on them?

Blind has refrained from playing Van Persie and Huntelaar at the same time once again. Instead he has decided to put on De Jong, and it almost paid off. He almost scored with his first touch!

INCHES WIDE FOR HOLLAND! Memphis playes yet another wicked freekick into the area, with De Jong meeting it with his head. But the effort flashes just inches past the far post.

Netherlands sub: Daley Blind OFF, Luuk De Jong ON.

YELLOW CARD: Oguzhan Ozyakup (Turkey)

YELLOW CARD: Hakan Balta (Turkey)

If the Dutch are to stage a comeback here you get the feeling that they need to be getting that first goal rather soon. Turkey are still holding firm at the back for the moment.

Forgot to mention that the booking Van Der Wiel received a few moments ago will keep him out of the next match for the Netherlands, so he won't be available for the Kazakhstan fixture.

YELLOW CARD: Sener Ozbayrakli (Turkey)

Netherlands sub: Luciano Narsingh OFF, Quincy Promes ON.

For once that's actually a disappointing cross into the are from Memphis. He tried to find a teammate at the back post, but in the end there was too much weight on the delivery.

Holland need to find Van Persie more often. The former Manchester United striker now plays his football in Turkey of course, but he hasn't made much of an impression on home soil.

Hakan enjoyed a very good game for Turkey tonight, so it's a little surprising that Terim has opted to take him off. It was worth keeping him on solely for his set piece deliveries!

Turkey sub: Hakan Calhonoglu OFF, Mehmet Topal ON.

Sneijder is taking it upon himself to try and force a way through the Turkish backline. Thisis a big opportunity for him after falling out of the reckoning, but the hosts are so far holding firm.

YELLOW CARD: Gregory Van Der Wiel (Netherlands)

The Dutch are totally controlling this game now, but they have no cutting edge in the final third. They have no invention when they get to the edge of the box. Turkey are sitting deep.

Turan has been taken off by Terim, which is perhaps unsurprising. The midfielder hasn't played any club football this season and an hour of first team play has taken it out of him tonight.

Good effort from Memphis. The Manchester United man cuts inside off the wing, as he has done so many times tonight, but he can't beat the keeper Babacan with his shot from 20 yards.

GREAT CHANCE FOR TURKEY! Hakan plays a wonderful corner kick delivery into the area, with Aziz rising highest to meet it. But the Turkish defender can only direct it wide of the target.

Turkey sub: Arda Turan OFF, Volkan Sen ON.

Yilmaz does well to win the corner kick there. The striker gets the ball and races towards the byline, winning the set piece from the Dutch defender. Turkey need more of that.

Turkey's defence hasn't been the best throughout this game, and now they are sitting deep inviting pressure on top of themselves. Is that really such a good idea for them?

You get the feeling that if Netherlands are to find a way back into this game it will be through Memphis. The Manchester United winger has been lively, his crossing has been excellent.

The Dutch are starting to crank up the pressure, and the home crowd know it. They are booing every touch that the away team has on the ball. Turkey are slipping deeper and deeper.

Netherlands started to impose themselves on the game towards of the first half, and they have picked up where they left off. Turkey are on the back foot since the restart after the break.

WHAT A CHANCE FOR WJINALDUM! Memphis plays an excellent cross into the six yard box for his teammate, but the Newcastle United man somehow manages to head wide of the target from close range.

That was part of the problem in the first half for the Dutch. Blind didn't seem to know where he was playing. Well, at least he now knows what his position is at the centre of defence.

Blind has made a change at the break, and unsurprisingly it's De Vrij who has been taken off. The centre-back was terrible in the first half, and so Blind has now dropped into defence.

Netherlands sub: Stefan De Vrij, Georgino Wjinaldum ON.

And the second half is under way! Turkey hold a 2-0 lead over Netherlands after the opening 45 minutes.

What did you make of the first half between Turkey and Netherlands? Can Blind's side come back from this? Do Turkey deserve to have a two-goal advantage at the break? Tweet me!

HALF-TIME: Turkey 2-0 Netherlands. What a half for Terim's team. They have a two-goal advantage and have been good value for it as well. Holland have a long way to come back from this.

One minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the first half.

Holland are just starting to crank things up towards the end of this first half. I get the feeling that Turkey will be quite pleased to get to the break with the 2-0 advantage.

GOOD DEFENDING FROM AZIZ! Sneijder plays the ball in to Van Persie, who looks to get the shot away at goal. But the Turkish defender is on hand to make the block, and the keeper mops up.

Memphis doesn't make the most of the shooting opportunity. The Mancheser United winger cuts inside off the left wing to get his effort away at goal, but he scuffed his shot and it's blocked.

YILMAZ HAS THE CHANCE TO ADD A THIRD! The striker turns his marker inside the area and fires off a shot at goal, but his time Cillessen does just enough to save with his feet.

YELLOW CARD: Robin Van Persie (Netherlands)

Turkey are doing a really good job of squeezing Netherlands in the centre of the pitch. They just have no room to play when they are trying to pick a pass in the final third. Worrying for the away team.

THE FLAG IS UP! Klaasen plays the ball from deep to put Memphis clean through on goal, but the Manchester United winger is called offside just as about he was bearing down on the keeper.

So what can Netherlands do to turn this game around? They have been really poor in these opening 30 odd minutes, but they have still come up with the odd chance. They could still come back.

Cillessen should have done better with that. Turan's shot was well directed and had some power behind it, but the Dutch goalkeeper still should have kept it out at his near post.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Turkey 2 (31 mins - Arda Turan) Netherlands 0. Wow! Turkey have a second goal! Turan bursts inside from the left side and fires off a shot at goal, with the ball squirming under the body of Cillessen.

Van Persie tries to wriggle his way through the packed Turkey backline, but in the end the Fenerbahce striker is crowded off the ball. It's not going so well for him at the moment.

YELLOW CARD: Arda Turan (Turkey)

SNEIJDER SHOOTS AT GOAL! Great play from Netherlands, with Memphis playing a low pass in to the feet of Van Persie, who lays it off to Sneijder, but his deflected strike ends up in the arms of Babacan.

Much was made of Van Persie coming into this game following the defeat to Iceland, but the former Manchester United striker has hardly had a touch of the ball. Actually, can we check that?

MORE ATROCIOUS DEFENDING BY HOLLAND! The freekick is swung into the area, and the Dutch simply allow Inan to get a header at goal. The angle was too tight for him, though.

Turkey's defending doesn't exactly look solid either. Holland have created a couple of really good chances since falling behind, and the home side don't have much of a handle on their attack.

TURAN FIRES OFF A SHOT AT GOAL! The Barcelona man cuts inside off the left wing to line up an effort, but he gets his angles and weight wrong and smashes high and wide.

De Vrij has looked really off the pace so far. He was partly to blame for the opening goal and his positioning has been sloppy in general. The centre-back needs to get his head in the game.

That wasn't too far away! Memphis shows some skil on the left wing before curling a wonderful cross into the penalty area, but Klaasen can't quite make a connection with the ball.

Narsingh is seeing plenty of the ball down the right side. The Dutch seem to have identified Caner as the weak link of the Turkish team and they are having some joy down that wing.

Well that was at least encouraging for the Dutch. They have been dismal of late and have started this match really poorly, but that shows that at least they can create chances.

HUGE CHANCE FOR NETHERLANDS! Van Persie plays a great little ball into Narsingh, who has a one-on-one situation from a tight angle. But the keeper comes out to make the stop.

Perhaps for the first time in the match Turkey are now standing off Netherlands. They had been pressing hard against them, but are now quite content with allowing them to pass it around.

As soon as that goal went in Fatih Terim was on the touchline trying to instruct his players to keep their concentration. He knows that this game isn't over. Plenty time to be played.

That was terrible defending from the Dutch. De Vrij's poor header allowed so much space in behind him, with Ozyakup sprinting right through the middle, clean through on Cillessen.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Turkey 1 (8 mins - Oguzhan Ozyakup) Netherlands 0. Turkey have the goal they so desperately needed! The Dutch defence is split right down the middle and Ozyakup chips an excellent finish into the net.

You'd think that if Turkey are to make the play-offs, they will need to win here. Netherlands have a bit more room for error, but their hosts tonight don't really have that margin for mistake.

Turkey come forward down the left side for the first time in the match, with Erkin swinging the cross into the box. But the delivery is poor and Netherlands have the goal kick.

CORRECTION: The Dutch team lineup we had earlier included Arjen Robben. Of course, he suffered injury in the loss to Iceland and it is instead Luciano Narsingh who starts in his place.

It's surprising that Holland have struggled so badly in this group. They have so much quality in the final third, they should have enouh firepower to see off any team they come up against.

Blind took over from Guus Hiddink as Netherlands boss a few weeks ago, but he lost his first game in charge earlier this week. A win here would be a big boost for him and his team.

Iceland have been the big success story for Group A, with the islanders at the top of the standings on 18 points. Their win over Holland in Amsterdam earlier this week was their crowning glory.

Interesting that Virgil Van Dijk has been handed his first start for Netherlands just a matter of days after he signed for Southampton. Wasn't he good enough when he played in Scotland?

Many expected these two teams to be the dominant forces in Group A, but they now play each other in something of a scrap for third place. It's a match that's all about survival.

And we're under way! This is a huge game in Group A. It's Turkey against Netherlands in Euro 2016 qualifying.
