Are Scotland's hopes of qualifying for the 2020 European Championships dead before they were even alive? They were dreadful this evening. Kazakhstan deserved their win and they are still on the pitch celebrating in front of their jubilant supporters in Astana. McLeish will have a lot to answer for after this.

You can't argue that Scotland have been unlucky here. They have been played off the pitch by a Kazakhstan side who have even taken their foot off the pedal in this second half.

Kazakhstan make a change after that clash of heads and Akhmetov comes on for the last 10 minutes.

Clash of heads! That was a sore one. I didn't quite see who it was, but two Kazakhstan players have clashed heads while going for the same ball and they are receiving treatment now.

On the other side of things, Kazakhstan have coasted through this second half. They know that the game is won and they are just seeing out what will be a famous win for them.

Scotland are resigned to defeat this point. There is no intensity, no tempo to their play. To be honest, it's been that way since the third goal went in for Kazakhstan. Really turgid stuff.
