That is that. An easy victory for France who had Griezmann and Pogba to open up Moldova in the first half, but after that Moldova rolled over. They were never able to keep up, but they will be happy with Ambros' consolation.

GOAL! Moldova 1-4 France. Ambros scores - A cross comes in from the right, Damascan heads his effort to Lloris who blocks with his shins, and Ambros is on hand to squeeze in at the back post.

From 40 yards out, Fekir boots the ball at goal which lifts too high to trouble the 'keeper, and doesn't come down again until too late.
A low corner skids along the ground until Kante boots it clear. France break through Fekir down the middle, and Ambros clips him to the ground.

Ambros is on.
Griezmann lifts in a free kick for Pogba, who glances a header to the bottom corner, but Koshelev palms away his effort with a brilliant dive to his right.
Griezmann is hacked on the right of the box, and the French have a free kick about 25 yards out.
Here's a clip of the earlier action.
Pogba drives a shot from the edge of the box for Koshelev to beat away well, and Pavard races towards goal to aim a shot with the outside of his boot well over the top corner.
Antoniuc moves forward after a France long ball comes to nothing, and he wallops a shot well wide of goal. At least they believe in themselves.
Reabciuk sends in a cross from the left, it's over the 'keeper, and Damascan concedes a foul as he chases it to the touchline.
- OffIon NicolaescuMoldova
- OnVitalie DamascanMoldova
Here comes Damascan.
Pavard comes high up to press on the right to win a throw.
France are just playing from one midifelder to the next, with no pressure. There's no point them pulling a muscle, so they are just waiting for the end.
It's like watching Manchester City, but even less inspiring.
There's an advert for FedEx, whose recent results suggest a slowdown in the economy. Elssewhere, Pavard boots the ball long, which doesn't suggest much one way or another.
France are enjoying plenty of the ball, with Moldova sitting right back.
Pavard flashes in a cross which is nodded out at the near post, with Griezmann lurking. France have started with the vigour that is lacking in their investment banks,

We go again.
For what's it's worth, Moldova did not benefit entirely from Communist rule but that is hardly their fault.
Here's an observation.
I should probably say it is half time.
Matuidi and Giroud cannot swap passes through the defence. That was pretty lazy stuff.
Koshelev slices a back pass, but for all the panic, it ends up as a throw in on the right.
France have not had to break a sweat.
The French are content. Or as they pronounce it: 'content'.
- GoalOlivier GiroudFrance
GOAL! Moldova 0-3 France. Giroud scores - Matuidi spins in the box on the left, finds Giroud, and he awkwardly but adroitly hooks the ball into the goal at the near post. Well done, Olivier!

Kurzawa pulls a low cross into the box at the back post after being found by Mbappe, and the Moldova defence get it away.
Giroud toes a pass into the path of Mbappe on the edge of the box, and he clips a shot at the near post which is easily stopeed.
France slice throug the defence, Griezmann is released by Kurzawa, and he he pulls out Matuidi on the inside left, and he drives a shot just over the bar.
An earlier bit of action.
GOAL! Moldova 0-2 France. Varane scores - From a corner, Griezmann curls in a corner for Varane to meet at the near post and glance into the net.
- GoalAntoine GriezmannFrance
GOAL! Moldova 0-1 France. Griezmann scores - That's brilliant. Pogba chips in a reverse pass for Griezmann, running behind the defence, and he whistles in a volley past the 'keeper with an excellent effort.
Mbappe whips in a cross and it is headed away at the near post. They have created almost nothing of not in the first quarter of the game.
Matuidi digs out a cross that Giroud has no hope of reaching.
Where do we go from here but nowhere?
Mbappe is wincing after catching an opponent with his follow through. Given this is the best team in the world, they should consider pulling their fingers out.
France have seen 150060% of the ball so far.
Oh, here's the Coman news btw
Giroud sends a poor, guff shot along the ground towards the 'keeper.
Moldova are all the way back now, with no ambition. You can't blame them, because they aren't good enough to do anything else. A lesson for all of us, maybe.
As Ted Maul might say: not much going on here.
It's all France, then. Repeat that x84 and it'll account for the game.
Pogba picks out Giroud but his pullback is cleared.
It's been all France so far.

Not sure about Griezmann's moustache.

We have live coverage of the England game here:
This is perhaps the strongest team that France could put out. Only Anthony Martial, out with a thigh injury, might argue otherwise.
Anyone been to Stadionul Zimbru?
Right, so, football eh? It's a complete 10/10 sport, no doubt. That's an excitingly strong line-up with the mediocre Olivier Giroud ahead of the excelent Kingsley Coman,, Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe.
TEAM: Lloris, Umtiti, Varane, Kurzawa, Pavard, Kante, Pogba, Coman, Griezmann, Mbappe, Giroud. /// Moldova: Koselev - Jardan, Posmac, Carp, Reabciuk - Cebotaru, Ionita - Antoniuc, Cociuc, Ginsari - Nicolaescu.
