FT: Everton 1-5 Atalanta. The Italians are into the round of 32 after blowing Everton away. The Blues desperately need to find a new manager to halt this woeful run. Alarm bells are ringing and Unsworth doesn't seem like the man to steady the ship.

GOAL! It's three. The left-wing corner is headed clear only as far as Gosens who shows brilliant technique to volley in off the post from the edge of the area.
Cornelius does well on the left. He tries to wriggle free to the byline and wins a corner for the visitors.
Keane rises brilliantly to thunder a header against the bar.The fans scream it's over the line - but it doesn't matter anyway. He committed a foul in the build up to it.
Sandro has a pop from 30 yards. It's straight at Berisha who pushes it over the bar.

Rooney has two bites at the delivery but puts his second one straight into the keeper's arms. Atalanta break and Hateboer shoulder charges Keane out of the way. He strides into the left side of the area but flashes over the top.
Rooney curls it to the far post, but de Roon nods clear at the expense of a corner.
Mirallas with a clever run to the right channel. He's hauled down and Everton have a free kick in a good position.
Everton lost their previous EL home match against Lyon. They have only ever lost consecutive home matches in major European competition once before versus Benfica and BATE Borisov in this competition in 2009-10.
Everton living very dangerously at the start of this half. Somehow it's still just 1-0.
Robles pulls off another great save from a deflection off Williams from a left-wing corner. Kenny then hacks off the line before Marten de Roon volleys just wide.
The Italians will feel they should have put the game to bed there.
PENALTY SAVED! Robles keeps out a Gomez spot kick and then stops the follow up. The ball bounces around the Everton box, but they somehow survive.
PENALTY! Williams slides in to try and deny Cristante and brings his man down.
Masiello was limping badly for Atalanta just before HT, but he's soldiering on for the second period.

KICK OFF! Everton restart the match.
- End of 1st Half
HT: Everton 0-1 Atalanta. Cristante's 12th minute strike separates the sides. It's a familiar Europa League feeling for the Toffees who saw Davies' snap shot headed off the line.
Masiello is back on and limping. He doesn't look comfortable and he almost costs his team as the ball falls for Mirallas to have a pop, but the Belgian's volley is well saved.
Gomez eventually swings the left-wing free kick into the box, but it's straight into the midriff of Robles.
Three minutes added at the end of the first period.
Masiello limps to the touchline. Atalanta preparing a change - but wait! The magic spray has been applied to his ankle. Looks like he may be okay to continue after all.

LATEST: Lyon are leading Apollon 2-0. As it stands, both Lyon and Atalanta are heading through.
Rooney dropping deep looking to make something happen. The ball eventually finds its way to Davies who fires in a cross without looking. There's no Everton shirt in the area and Atalanta bring it clear.
Gomez shapes for a one-two with Petagna, but it's hacked clear by Keane on the edge of the box.
OFF THE LINE! Toloi somehow gets in the way of Davies' drive to nod clear after the Everton midfielder had taken a nice touch to control a left-wing cross and let fly.
Gomez curves a deep free kick to the far post, but there's no-one arriving on cue and Everton survive.
More fine hold up play by Petagna as he wins his side a free kick on the right flank.
Keane with another important defensive header. Petagna receives it with his back to goal, turns well but curls his 25-yarder wide.
Andrea Petagna surges into the area on the left this time. He waits for support but can't pick out a teammate and Keane nods clear.
That sums up Sandro's time at Everton so far. It also sums up Everton EL campaign. Concede sloppy goals, miss gilt-edged chances.
Mirallas strides into the right of the area and forces a smart save out of Berisha. The rebound falls for Sandro who blazes over from 10 yards with the goal gaping.
In contrast, the away end is bustling. The visiting faithful have been singing for pretty much the whole match so far.
Plenty of empty seats at a cold Goodison Park this evening. You can't blame the home fans given that they can no longer qualify.

STAT via UEFA: Atalanta are unbeaten in Europe this season (W2 D2) and have not lost a UEFA fixture outside Italy since 1989. Nevertheless, the Bergamo club have only ever won one away fixture in European competition – 1-0 against Fenerbahçe in the second round of the 1990/91 UEFA Cup.
Rooney rises to try and meet a high right-wing cross, but Rafael Toloi beats him to it with a dominant defensive header.

Gomez fires in the free kick but it's too close to Joel Robles.
Gomez jinks in from the left and is upended by Tom Davies. Free kick in a dangerous position for the Italians.

Lots of talk about Everton missing Lukaku's goals, but the defence is so porous. They ship far too many.
The goal seems to have deflated Everton after that bright start. Atalanta have looked dangerous every time they have gone forward.
It's all Atalanta now. Everton at sixes and sevens. Castagne crosses once more from the right, but Hans Hateboer can't connect with his attempted half volley.
The visiting fans are in jubilant voice. They've turned out in force. The rest of Goodison is silent.

GOAL! Atalanta lead. Timothy Castagne powers down the right, ghosts past his marker and plays it across for Bryan Cristante to tap home. The Blues defence was all over the place there.
The 3-0 win on Matchday one was Atalanta's first ever meeting with English opposition in a European competition. It set the tone for a disastrous campaign for the Blues.
Everton's defence has been more than a little shaky so far this term and they are almost undone again, but Masiello guides a header over from a deflected right-wing cross.
First real attack of any note from La Dea results in a corner that Everton struggle to clear.
Everton have been the better side so far. They've got into some nice situations in and around the visitors' box but have yet to find the final ball.
The Atalanta keeper is receiving treatment. He looks a bit shaken but should be OK to continue.
Rooney bends a clever run down the right flank and teases a low cross towards Sandro. Etrit Berisha comes out bravely to gather and gets a boot in his head for his troubles.
STAT: The Toffees have lost four of their last seven home matches in the Europa League group stage.
Davy Klaassen pounces on a loose ball 20 yards out, but lashes a rising right-foot drive over the crossbar.

Everton v Serie A opposition: W1 D2 L4 - but the Toffees are unbeaten versus Italian sides at Goodison (W1 D2).

PREVIOUSLY: Atalanta thumped the Blues 3-0 at home on matchday one. First-half goals from Andrea Masiello, Alejandro Gómez and Bryan Cristante did all of the damage.
PERMUTATIONS: Atalanta are through if they pick up at least a point. They can also qualify if Apollon fail to win in Lyon. The French side will also book their spot in the next round if they avoid defeat.
Unsworth on the Goodison hot-seat: "We just continue to the next game as passionately as from the start.... (There's) no change that I've been told. Everything I do from when I get up in the morning to when I go to bed at night is about Everton."
