Just when one or two question marks were starting to appear, the merest inclination of some sort of doubt, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stepped up. Big time.

Aubameyang netted a fabulous hat-trick on Thursday evening to help the Gunners win 4-2 in Valencia, triumphing 7-3 on aggregate as they reached the Europa League final.

He is the first Arsenal player to score a hat-trick in the semi-final of a European competition.
