Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang explained his goal celebration after scoring a brace during Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Rennes on Thursday night.
Trailing 3-1 after the first leg Aubameyang got Arsenal off to the perfect start in the first five minutes, turning home Aaron Ramsey’s cross.
He set up Ainsley Maitland-Niles for the second ten minutes later to put the Gunners ahead on away goals.
Rennes pushed for an away goal but Aubameyang scored a third late in the second-half to seal Arsenal’s progress.
After scoring Aubameyang donned a Black Panther mask to celebrate, and he explained why afterwards.
"I needed a mask that would represent me," Aubameyang told BT Sport.
"It’s a Black Panther and in Africa, in Gabon we call the national team the panthers of Gabon.
It represents me.
Aubameyang is Arsenal’s top scorer this season with 22 and they are through to the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
