Full-time! And a job well done by Chelsea...
What a difference a goal makes. 3-0 looks mighty fine going into next week's return leg!
Three minutes added on, by the way...
- GoalCallum Hudson-OdoiChelsea
GOAL FOR CHELSEA!
Has Hudson-Odoi just put this tie to bed? He has scored for the third straight Europa League game at home, taking a touch from Loftus-Cheek's pass before stroking it past Boyko.
Chelsea on top after that mini-spell for Dynamo... just as I say that Kovacic gives the ball away and a pass only just evades Sheparenko inside the Chelsea box. Wakey wakey Chelsea.
CLOSE! Almost a lifeline for Dynamo, but from Garmash's cross Sidcley ends up flicking his header nowhere near the goal. He was a good yard offside too!
Chelsea looking nervy now with Kepa flapping at a cross before a follow-up attempt deflects over.
OVER! Lovely move from Chelsea and this time Pedro turns provider as he feeds in Loftus-Cheek, who takes a touch before sending it over from six yards out on the stretch,
Have to wonder how happy Chelsea will be with a 2-0. It could have been more, and is an awkward lead to take to Kiev.
Better than a draw or loss obviously, but they could have made that return leg a dead rubber by now.
- OnCallum Hudson-OdoiChelsea
Good night's work from Willian, who goes off just after Alonso fires wide.
On comes Hudson-Odoi, who gets the nod ahead of Hazard and Higuain.
Chelsea causing their own problems in their own half but Kepa comes out to claim a cross and ease their fears.
Sarri on the edge.
Pretty sure that is Dynamo's first attempt all match.... Sidcley fires well over from 35 yards out. Yikes.
Now compare that Chelsea tweet to this one...
Four years apart. Same end result.

- OnSidcleyDynamo Kiev
On comes Sidcley.
Chelsea may as well go in search of a third, try and leave Dynamo with a mountain to climb.
(This was from four years ago!)

Relief for Chelsea. An unstoppable free-kick!
Immediate change for Dynamo.
Luiz and Willian both want it... but looks like Willian will take...
WHAT A GOAL!!! Stunning free-kick from Willian, who curls it into the near top corner.
Kante's first contribution is a neat little trick to draw the foul.
The camera cuts to Higuain, Hazard and Hudson-Odoi all warming up - only one sub left though.
Free-kick to Chelsea, 20 yards out, meanwhile...
- OnN'Golo KantéChelsea
And Jorginho makes way for Kante - HUGE cheers for that by the way - but it's Kovacic who drops back, not the Frenchman.
Fresh legs in midfield - off goes Barkley for Loftus-Cheek.
Half an hour to go and Chelsea really need to extend their advantage - can't find a way through this half though.
The main man.
The cross is flicked on by Barkley at the near-post but Luiz can't quite latch onto it from about 10 yards out. Nice routine, though.
Chelsea just finding their groove once more and Barkley earns the hosts a corner...
There we go! As I promised, another Pedro chance, but it's too tame and too close to Boyko, who makes a simple save.
Claps for Kante as he goes out to warm up. Hazard, Higuain, Loftus-Cheek and Hudson-Odoi among those on the bench too!
Chelsea start the second half on top with Dynamo sitting back and inviting the pressure - won't be long before another Chelsea (Pedro) chance.
So Chelsea had seven shots in that first half with five on target. Dynamo had zilch.
- 2nd Half
Football is back under way at the Bridge they call Stamford.

- End of 1st Half
There goes the half-time whistle. A slick half of football from Chelsea, but they will be disappointed to go into the break just 1-0 up.
Pedro could have scored like 10 or 20 already. Sarri will tell them to end this tie in the second half.
SAVE! Another Boyko save for the collection, again from Pedro, who cuts onto his right before shooting too close to the goalkeeper.
One minute added on.
Nasty clash of heads as Christensen and Kovacic both go for the same ball. Yes, they're on the same team.
Lack of communication, and they're both just receiving some treatment.
- Yellow cardVitaliy BuialskyDynamo Kiev
Another yellow, this time for Buialsky as he drags back then fouls Kovacic - that's him out of the return leg.
Pedro almost through on goal again but this time his touch is a tad too heavy. He's been Chelsea's biggest threat by a mile so far, and could have had a hat-trick already.
JUST WIDE! Chelsea knocking on the door again - Willian cuts it back for Alonso, who sees his effort deflect a whisker wide...
OVER! From the following corner, Luiz heads over from about six yards out!
BIG SAVE! Another chance goes begging for Pedro, who superbly brings down a Luiz pass before volleying towards goal, but the strong palm of Boyko keeps it out.
Replay of that cross shows it actually hit Alonso's hand... you wouldn't give it... but after last night, who even knows anymore!?
A rare Dynamo attack and the cross is deflected out for a corner... which Shaparenko will go over to take... but the referee blows for a foul in the box.
NO PENALTY! Almost a carbon copy of the goal as Pedro plays a one-two with Giroud, but this time the Spaniard goes down after being barged off the ball by Kedziora.
Dynamo yet to record a single attempt, and they've barely even strayed into the Chelsea half so far.
The Blues must do all they can now to make that return leg a dead rubber, save the legs, and such.
It's all love.
SAVE! Boyko's feet prevent Chelsea this time, as he keeps out Barkley's low attempt from a narrow angle. More slick football from the hosts.
Lovely Giroud assist.
Pedro will be wondering how he missed that. The whole of the goal to aim for and he ends up shooting straight at Boyko.
BIG CHANCE! It should be 2-0! But Boyko denies Pedro from point-blank range following a low cross. Right place, right time for the Dynamo goalkeeper.
Pedro's ninth goal of the season, and he gets the goal his lively start has deserved. Time to put Dynamo to the sword, you would think.
As I was saying......
It's a delightful move as Pedro plays it to Giroud, who backheels it back to the Spaniard who tucks it through the goalkeeper's legs.
All Chelsea but it won't be long before the fans start getting slightly frustrated - they're still yet to find a real opening with Dynamo all too happy to sit back.
Dynamo earn a free-kick and it's a chance to whip one in, but it's well defended by Luiz. Could be Dynamo's main route in, they've offered little else.
Barkley does well to win Chelsea a corner but it's a poor cross in from Willian as it rolls out for a throw-in the other side.
Chelsea may be dominating but they haven't created too much yet. Pedro looking lively though, and the hosts have enjoyed almost 80% possession.
- Yellow cardVolodymir ShepelevDynamo Kiev
Shabanov gives the ball away to Pedri inside Dynamo's box but the Spaniard is almost so shocked to receive it he can't quite work out what to do before being intercepted.
Moments later, it's an early yellow for Shepelev for his late foul on Zappacosta.
46 games already. A right old slog and it's only early March.
Dynamo not offering much so far, their goalkeeper Boyko has sent two clearances out for throw-ins already. A touch nervous, maybe.
Lovely play this time by Kovacic as he plays a one-two with Pedro, but the flag goes up with Zappacosta just offside as he receives the pass.
Fast start from the Blues.
Stunning touch from Pedro as he brings down Luiz's long ball - the Spaniard then plays it to Zappacosta who wins the hosts a corner.
It's played short and there's a bit of a scramble before Dynamo clear.
- 1st Half
And we're off, let's see if Chelsea can make home advantage count in this first leg.
The teams are out at Stamford Bridge!
50 up for Giroud tonight!
One Arsenal defender sent off, another has scored an own goal...
Ten minutes to go over in France.
Two spells at Stamford Bridge, could Jose really be set for another stint at the Bernabeu? Watch Euro Papers below!
So much has gone on in planet football at the moment, it’s easy to forget where Chelsea even stand with Sarri. The head coach has survived the storm, it would seem, but he can ill-afford a slip-up in Europe.
With the club sixth in the Premier League, you would have to say the Europa League is their best route to next season’s Champions League. What a nice present that would be for Lampard from Sarri (just kidding, I think…).
A total of seven changes from Sarri but still no room for Hudson-Odoi, who’s joined on the bench by Loftus-Cheek – oh, and Kante, Hazard and Higuain!
Giroud leads the line with Pedro and Willian in tow. Barkley starts alongside Kovacic and Jorginho in midfield. Christensen partners Luiz in defence, with Zappacosta and Alonso the full-backs. Kepa your keeper for the evening.
Chelsea XI: Kepa; Zappacosta, Christensen, Luiz, Alonso; Kovacic, Jorginho, Barkley; Pedro, Giroud, Willian
Subs: Caballero, Rudiger, Kante, Hazard, Higuain, Loftus-Cheek, Hudson-Odoi
Dynamo Kiev XI: Boyko; Kedziora, Burda, Shabanov, Mykolenko; Sydorchuk, Shepeliev; Tsygankov, Shaparenko, Buyalskiy; Rusyn.
Subs: Bushchan, Sidcley, Andriyevsky, Garmash, Tsitaishvili, Kadar, Smirniy
Before we look at the teams, I shall direct you to the Rennes vs Arsenal blog – the Gunners are a man down in France, with the score at 1-1.
That one will conclude by the time this one kicks off, so honestly, I won’t be offended…
It’s the Europa League! After the past two nights of Champions League drama, let’s keep up these levels of excitement shall we. Time for the last-16 first leg between Chelsea and Dynamo Kiev – in 45 minutes, anyway.
