FULL-TIME: West Ham 2-0 Rapid Vienna
A good win for West Ham overall. There were a few scares for them in a cagey second half as a flurry of Rapid Vienna subs seemed to change the tide, but a last gasp goal from Benrahma sealed a victory that was never truly in doubt and makes it two wins from two for the east Londoners in their Europa League group.
- GoalSaid BenrahmaWest Ham United
GOAL!!! Bowen receives the ball with his back to goal and spreads it out wide to Benrahma in space. He then cuts inside and passes the ball into the bottom right corner to seal the win for West Ham!
SAVED!! Rice finds Fornals far on the left flank with a pass from deep and the Spaniard chest passes it to Benrahma with his first touch, receives the ball back on the edge of the box and tries to curl a shot into the top corner. A strong save from Gartler denies him though.
Dawson clears Auer's low cross.
West Ham have maybe given up hope of putting this game beyond reach, instead opting to hold out for the win, as Cresswell carries the ball to the left corner flag to run down the clock.
- OffDejan PetrovicRapid Wien
- OnRobert LjubicicRapid Wien
Kuhbauer makes his final change, bringing on Robert Ljubicic for Petrovic.
CHANCE!! Big, big miss from Bowen! Fornals threads through a pinpoint ball to Bowen past the defence, who then rounds Gartler before getting his feet in tangle trying to shoot on the swivel while off balance and his shot towards a practically open goal sails over.
- OffAndriy YarmolenkoWest Ham United
- OnPablo FornalsWest Ham United
Another sub for West Ham. Pablo Fornals comes on for Yarmolenko, who's intricate passing has impressed, especially his pass that led to the goal - a pre-assist, if you like.
- Yellow cardIssa DiopWest Ham United
Diop is the first West Ham player in the referee's book due to a stray arm hitting Grull.
- OffMaximilian UllmannRapid Wien
- OnJonas Antonius AuerRapid Wien
Rapid make their fourth switch. Jonas Auer is on for Ullmann on the left wing.
PENALTY OVERTURNED!!! The VAR official instructs the referee to look at the pitch-side monitor and it's clear to see that Grull trips over his own feet instead of being fouled by Johnson, so the penalty is chalked off and West Ham's lead is intact.
PENALTY!! Johnson is adjudged to have brought down Grull just inside the box and the referee points to the spot!
The multitude of substitutions allowed in European club competition can really disrupt the flow of the game and that flurry seems to have inspired a slight resurgence from the visitors.
- OffLeo GreimlRapid Wien
- OnFilip StojkovicRapid Wien
Leo Greiml, who's on a yellow card, comes off for Filip Stojkovic in defence.
- OffErcan KaraRapid Wien
- OnMarco GrullRapid Wien
Another attacking change for Rapid Vienna sees key man Marco Grull be substituted on for Ercan Kara.
- OffTaxiarchis FountasRapid Wien
- OnKoya KitagawaRapid Wien
Rapid Vienna's Japanese forward Koya Kitagawa, who scored in last season's competition against Arsenal, is on for Fountas.
- OffMichail AntonioWest Ham United
- OnJarrod BowenWest Ham United
Antonio may not have scored, but he unselfishly assisted Rice for the only goal and has been a brilliant focal point in attack all evening. He's being given a breather now by Jarrod Bowen.
- OffNikola VlašicWest Ham United
- OnManuel LanziniWest Ham United
Manuel Lanzini replaces Nikola Vlasic, who appears to still be adjusting to life in east London with another underwhelming performance.
- OffMark NobleWest Ham United
- OnTomáš SoucekWest Ham United
Both teams decide to make a triple substitution at exactly the same time! That includes Tomas Soucek coming on for Noble in the West Ham midfield. Noble's passing looked good but he struggled on the ball and did seem off the pace.
BLOCKED!! Vlasic turns inside and sets up Noble for a shot that's blocked by Wimmer!
- Yellow cardLeo GreimlRapid Wien
Leo Greiml becomes the second player to enter the referee's book thanks to a challenge on Michail Antonio.
While West Ham are still firmly on the front foot, it's been a very cagey and physical second half so far.
Vlasic has space to shoot outside the box, but his tame effort rolls into the hands of Gartler.
- 2nd Half
Back with the second half now! Will West Ham continue to dominate? Or will Rapid Vienna rally back?
Declan Rice celebrates his goal to open the scoring.
- End of 1st Half
HALF-TIME: West Ham 1-0 Rapid Vienna
A very well deserved lead for the home side in front of a packed out and atmospheric London Stadium. Hitting the post twice foreshadowed an unlucky evening, but Rice's goal cemented their dominance and they'll be hoping to add a couple more goals in the second half to give them some breathing space because Rapid Vienna do have pace on the counter.
- Yellow cardSrdjan GrahovacRapid Wien
Benrahma brings the ball forward on the counter and Rapid are exposed at the back so Grahovac cynically grabs Benrahma and pulls him back with zero subtlety to halt the attack. Predictably, he gets a yellow.
Ullmann's been looking like a threat for Rapid Vienna. He cuts inside on his right and shoots, but Dawson heads it away.
CLOSE!! Feel like a broken record at this point, as Cresswell delivers yet another fantastic corner from the right. Dawson makes a late run again and this time his header is ever so slightly over!
BLOCKED!! Arase takes aim with a low effort, but Dawson boldly keeps it out.
Antonio plays it to Benrahma and the Algerian tries his luck from range. His shot goes comfortably over the bar though.
- GoalDeclan RiceWest Ham United
GOAL!!! Yarmolenko dinks a ball into the box for Antonio, who chests it down and squares it to Rice, who nets for the second time in two Europa League games! He celebrates emphatically in front of the Rapid Vienna fans, much to their annoyance.
OFF THE POST!! Antonio wins a corner and another dangerous Cresswell delivery from the right follow. The onrushing Dawson heads it straight at the post, as West Ham hit the woodwork for the second time this evening.
Cresswell aims for Antonio and Diop at the near post with his corner, but unfortunately for them it amounts to nothing.
Benrahma drives with the ball near to the byline and sends a cross in but it's overhit and sails over everyone in the box.
The Hammers have been very dominant, but Rapid Vienna have attacked in spurts. This time Aiwu gives Petkovic something to run onto, but Areola is off his line early to deal with it.
Benhrama bursts into the box and goes down appealing for a penalty. The referee rightfully waves play on - it'd be very harsh to give one for a nudge in the back that soft from Arase.
OFFSIDE! Johnson races forward from deep and lofts a ball into the box for Antonio, who chests it down and tries to poke it past Gartler, who makes the save, but Antonio looked to have been pulled back by a defender. It won't matter though, as he's flagged for offside.
OFF THE POST!! Noble wins a free-kick, whips it in from the left and Rice's header hits the inside of the post! Diop seizes on the rebound and puts his effort marginally wide.
Noble lets Antonio free down the right, but no one's there to meet his low cross into the box.
Kara has an early chance to give Rapid the lead after Diop fails to clear it, but he shoots wide.

Seems West Ham aren't the only team resting players tonight...
