Real Madrid's Gareth Bale and Toni Kroos to miss Super Cup vs Sevilla

Gareth Bale and Toni Kroos are among the stars left out of Real Madrid’s squad for the European Super Cup against Sevilla on Tuesday.

Suspicions about Bale’s absence have been confirmed, while Kroos has also been rested after he too did not resume training with Madrid until Saturday.

Pepe has also been omitted for similar reasons as the aforementioned duo, leaving Sergio Ramos free to partner Raphael Varane in central defence and Karim Benzema to spearhead Los Blancos’ attack.
