Cech claims the free kick, and the ref whistles for full time. Sunderland gave Arsenal a fright, and past teams might have collapsed. However, when John O'Shea left the pitch, the home side took advantage and swiftly added two to win the game.

Sunderland have a free kick on the very edge of the box after Gabriel lunged in late on Watmore. He's booked, and Sunderland might get a goal back.

Cech picks out a cross and releases it to Bellerin. The Arsenal defence slow it down, killing the rest of the match.

Gibbs picks out Giroud near the penalty spot, and Pickford tips away his header for a corner.

Campbell is replaced by Reine-Adelaide.

Yedlin clatters Giroud in the box, really obviously, and the referee does what referees do, which is totally ignore it. At the other end, Graham forces Cech to run out to block his shot. He claims the corner.

GOAL! Arsenal 3-1 Sunderland. Giroud - Bellerin picks up a long ball out wide, he takes the ball into the box before rolling it to the back post, where Giroud is waiting to tap in.

A poor free kick from M'Vila is easily cleared, but Giroud then concedes a foul on Lens, and Sunderland win it back. It's Arsenal's turn to drop back in defence.

GOAL! Arsenal 2-1 Sunderland. Ramsey scores - Bellerin gets behind the defence on the right, he squares the ball for Ramsey, and he finishes easily.

Ramsey is tripped on the left. He takes a quick free kick which is sent back into his direction by Yedlin, and wins it back Arsenal then win a throw on the left. Gibbs has miles of space to run into, squares it to Walcott, and "Theo" sidefoots it straight at the 'keeper.

Watmore sends a cross well wide of the near post after Van Aanholt sent in a low cross.

Gibbs fires in a cross from the left at the near post. Giroud stretches and just misses out, and Pickford claims. At the other end Watmore overruns the ball and it's out of play.

Lens curls in a cross for Fletcher, and he glances an effort well over the bar. A waste of an excellent chance.

Pickford hoofs a free kick into Arsenal's half, then win a handball from Iwobi on the left wing.
