RESULT: West Ham have just beaten Blackburn Rovers 5-1 with Dmitri Payet in sensational form. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are 1-0 up at Tottenham at half-time thanks to Martin Kelly.

A word on Chelsea, as we've been obsessed by City's team selection so far. Their 2-1 reversal in Paris in midweek was the first defeat they have suffered in 13 games under Hiddink. They haven't been back to their best - the kind of implosion overseen by Mourinho takes some time to recover from - but Hiddink has stopped the rot.

David Faupala, what can we tell you about him? Not much as it turns out, as he isn't even on Wikipedia. But the City website has a nice profile of a man they describe as "one of France's hottest youth talents".
David Faupala had already worn his country’s shirt at u16, u17 and u18 level by the time he crossed the channel to sign for City in July 2015. Good in the air and possessing a powerful shot, the 18-year-old immediately linked up with the EDS squad following his move and netted in his first friendly appearance for the club while on pre-season tour in Spain.

Guus Hiddink discussed his future this week: "I feel fit, I feel fresh and, every morning, I go with a smile. Although we have a difficult time when there's a loss, I love to go to Cobham, to the training field, so I feel fresh. On the other hand, young people must take over and I must retreat a bit. I will visit Chelsea often next season but I'm not thinking of working elsewhere."

Pellegrini had some astonishing things to say about the match this week: "I think it’s not a real game, of course. I would not pay for the ticket. We told [the fans] one week ago that we are going to play with a young team. If the people want to continue going to the stadium, or Chelsea fans will enjoy that game, I don’t know.”
