Barcelona's youth coach Victor Valdes refused his team's chance to take part in a play-off against an Everton Under-19 side.
The former Manchester United 'keeper was once rumoured to have refused to take part in a reserve match of his own, something that may have precipitated to his short tenure at the club.
However, he returned to Barcelona as coach of the club's under-19 side in July this year after spells at Standard Liege and then Middlesbrough.
He is in the news again now after an apparent disagreement over a third-fourth playoff in the Otten Cup in the Netherlands, a competition for youth sides.
There is no indication over why Valdes has decided his Barcelona team will not fulfill their fixture against Everton as yet, but the game against PSV and Inter Milan - the final - is still due to go ahead.
