Football news – Jamie Vardy sees penalty saved with his first touch against Spurs
Jamie Vardy came off the bench and immediately missed a penalty with his first touch for Leicester against Tottenham on Sunday.
With Leicester 1-0 down, James Maddison earned the visitors a penalty at Wembley after he was fouled by Jan Vertonghen.
Maddison was set to take the penalty, but with Vardy already readying himself to come on, Claude Puel opted to send the striker on for Demarai Gray to take the spot-kick.
And it could not have gone worse for Vardy, who saw his penalty saved before Spurs extended their lead thanks to Christian Eriksen just minutes later.
Ouch - though he did bounce back to score and make it 2-1!
