Football news - N'Golo Kante eyes long-term Chelsea stay amid Real Madrid interest

Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has reiterated that he has no intention of leaving Stamford Bridge this summer amid interest from Real Madrid.
Zinedine Zidane is a keen admirer of the France international, and Kante has been earmarked as a key cornerstone of the Spanish club's hopes of becoming a force once more, both domestically and in Europe.
But Kante insists he is happy in west London, and has set his sights on further silverware with the Blues having won the Premier League in 2017 and the FA Cup last season.
Speaking on Sunday to RTL, he said: "I am at Chelsea and I still have aims here, what is said elsewhere is not important.
"That is not important. I am at Chelsea and I am focused on that."
Kante is not the only Chelsea player, of course, that has been heavily linked with a move to Madrid in the summer, with Eden Hazard once more fielding questions about his future during the international break.
But speaking ahead of Belgium's 2-0 win over Cyprus, the playmaker said: "There's nothing in the reports."
