The caretaker manager was speaking ahead of his side's FA Cup fourth-round tie with Arsenal, and the Norwegian is confident that two of the club's biggest stars will put pen-to-paper on new deals.
Martial had looked set to depart Old Trafford with talks breaking down under former manager Jose Mourinho, but his return to favour under Solskjaer has led to a U-turn.

The Frenchman's contract, along with De Gea's, are set to expire at the end of next season, but United have upped their efforts to renew those deals. Solskjaer said on Thursday:
Hopefully we're going to have some good news in the coming weeks. I think the club is making progress but I leave that to the right people to do that.
"I don't know really how far we are away from it."
The club took the option of extending the contracts of both players until June 2020, but United are now seeking to tie them down to improved terms, and Martial has been reportedly offered a new five-year deal.
Juan Mata, Ander Herrera and Ashley Young are three players whose contracts expire at the end of the current campaign, with the club hoping to resolve their futures this month.

Meanwhile, United will look to make it eight consecutive wins when they travel to the Emirates to face Unai Emery's Arsenal on Friday evening in the FA Cup.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for United defender Eric Bailly on an initial loan deal with a view to making it permanent, but Solskjaer has played down the reports.
"I am not surprised if they did. I will put it that way," he added. "That is just one of those things. There is always speculation."
Marcus Rashford has overcome a knee problem while Luke Shaw is also expected to be available following illness, but Marouane Fellaini and Marcos Rojo have been ruled out through injury.
