What a match at the Friends Arena in Stockholm! Leicester were rather overwhlemed in the first half, but they really improved after the introduction of Musa at the break. Ranieri will take plenty encouragement from what he saw from the Foxes in the second half. Great friendly match as far as friendly matches go.

92'

FULL-TIME: Barcelona 4-2 Leicester City

91'

The main takeaway for Leicester City is that Musa could be a real world beater for the coming season. The striker alongside Vardy could be a huge threat for the Foxes in the Premier League and Europe.

90'

Just two minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the second half.

89'

Many expect Leicester City to fade away this season, but on this showing perhaps they shouldn't be written off so readily. The Foxes will still pose a threat in the Premier League.

88'

There is plenty encouragement for Ranieri to draw from this match, especially the performance in the second half. Leicester City have given Barcelona a real test in Sweden.

87'

This has been an excellent friendly match. This will have done both sides a world of good as the start of the season starts to come into sight. There has been a real competitive edge.

86'

GOOD CHANCE FOR KAPUSTKA! The new signing couldn't quite find the finish to once again get Leicester City back in this game. I think he went for it with the wrong foot!

85'

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 4 (85 mins - Rafa Mujica) Leicester City 2. And that should be that for the Premier League champions. A scuffed shot falls to Mujica inside the box and the youngster smashes home his first goal for Barcelona.

83'

Having said that, Musa has been playing so well you certainly wouldn't rule out him getting a third goal and an equaliser for the Premier League champions. He's so dangerous.

82'

Busquets is just beginning to take a grip of things for Barcelona in the centre of the pitch again. They have been somewhat ragged in the second half, but he's seeing this out for them now.

80'

Munir has been taken off by the Spanish champions so there will be no hat-trick for him. This will be a big season for the youngster. Will he be anything more than a fringe player?

79'

Can Leicester City find an equaliser? They're still the ones pressing and attacking at will, but it's all coming through Musa. He has been the best player on the pitch, no doubt about that.

78'

Barcelona are now making a whole raft of changes. Luis Enrique hasn't made many changes so far, so there are a number of them being made with just 10 minutes left to play.

77'
76'

This has been one of the more competitive International Champions Cup matches this summer. There has been a real edge to this one as the two teams gear up for the start of the season.

75'

SUAREZ SHOOTS INTO THE SIDE NETTING! Denis Suarez clips the pass into Luis Suarez, but on the run he can only shoot into the side netting on the volley from a tight angle.

74'

PENALTY CLAIM FOR LEICESTER! Musa once again gives the Foxes all kinds of problems and Mascherano brings him down inside the penalty area, but the referee shakes his head.

73'

Ranieri will be delighted with the resilience his side have shown in the second half. Things looked pretty bleak for them at the break, but they have demonstrated determination since.

72'

ZIELER MAKES THE SAVE! The ball falls to Busquets about 25 yards out from goal and the Leicester City goalkeeper is required to turn it around the post. Good shot, indeed.

71'
70'

Another chance for Musa to drive at the Barcelona defence! Mathieu is forced to send the ball behind for a corner kick to stop the forward from grabbing his third of the half.

69'

Leicester City are in control of this match now. Barcelona are the ones being pegged back and doing the chasing of the ball as the Premier League champions press for an equaliser.

68'

What an impact Musa has had for Leicester City since coming on at the break! He has given Barcelona all kinds of problems and is now on a hat-trick. The Foxes are the better side right now!

67'

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 3 Leicester City 2 (67 mins - Ahmed Musa). The comeback is on for the Premier League champions, and it's Musa who gets his second of the night! He fired his finish high into the Barcelona net. Wooft!

66'
65'

This half has been much better for Leicester City. They are seeing much more of the ball and are doing much more of it in the final third. Barcelona are having to dig deep right now.

64'

On comes Kapustka for the Premier League champions. The Polish international was signed just earlier today. He was impressive for his national team at Euro 2016.

63'
62'

Both teams are making some changes here midway through the second half, and Messi is one of the players who is being replaced at the Friends Arena in Stockholm. He gets an ovation.

61'

Messi stands over the freekick from about 25 yards out, but the Barcelona number 10 sends his set piece effort over the crossbar. He didn't quite get the dip he needed on it.

60'

Drinkwater and Suarez are in each other's faces. It might be a friendly match, but the former Liverpool striker is still as intense as ever. He doesn't do friendly matches.

59'

There appears to be plenty space in between Barcelona's midfield and their defence, and Musa is making the most of that. He is taking the ball and driving straight at their backline.

58'

SCHLUPP TAKES AIM! The attacker received the ball on the right side of the box and attempted to find the far corner of the net, but it was a simple save for the Barca keeper to make.

57'

I've been really impressed with both Musa and Mendy since they came on for Leicester City at the break. The two of them look to be enjoying themselves against the Catalan giants.

56'
55'

Munir should have taken the shot himself! Messi beats the man in midfield and slots the pass out to his teammate, who decides to try the reverse pass when he should have taken aim!

54'

There is a bit more of an edge to this game now that Leicester have a goal on the board. The Foxes are pressing Barcelona when they have the ball, not giving them a moment.

52'

This is much better from the Premier League champions at the start of the second half. They have some real threat on the counter attack and are giving Barcelona some problems.

51'
50'

It's just a shame that Leicester City already found themselves 3-0 down by the time Musa scored that goal. The new signing has given the Foxes a real edge in the first few minutes of this second half.

49'

Mathieu was completely skinned by Musa for that goal. The French defender didn't have the pace to stick with the new Leicester City striker and he ended up on his backside.

  • Ahmed Musa
    GoalAhmed Musa
48'

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 3 Leicester City 1 (48 mins - Ahmed Musa). What a sensational goal! Musa picks up the ball 40 yards out and surges through on goal, finishing with aplomb into the Barcelona net. What a great run and finish!

47'
46'

Both Leicester City and Barcelona have made changes at the break, quite a few of them. I think I can see Musa in the Foxes team now. Mendy is there as well for the English side.

45'

The second half is under way in Sweden! Barcelona hold a 3-0 lead over the Premier League champions.

-

What did you make of the first half from the Friends Arena? How much are Leicester City going to miss Kante this season? What do you think of Messi's new hair? Tweet me!

46'

HALF-TIME: Barcelona 3-0 Leicester City. A difficult half for the Premier League champions comes to a close in Stockholm. Barcelona have been exceptional going forward.

45'

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 3 (45 mins - Munir El Haddadi) Leicester City 0. There's another goal on the stroke of the break! Suarez plays a ball over the top for Munir, who slips an excellent finish past Zieler.

44'

Even though the Foxes have been second best, they are mounting some pressure on the Spanish champions before the half-time break. They have a corner, but it comes to nothing.

43'

KING HAS A HEADER SAVED! The midfielder pushes up from the centre of midfield to get on the end of a cross, but there wasn't enough venom in it and Masip can make the save.

42'

HUTH MISSES A SITTER! A few moments ago the Leicester City centre back missed the chance to level the scoring from a matter of yards, failing to make a connection from a freekick.

41'

I just wonder if this Leicester team is starting to tire, given their travelling over the past couple weeks. They have been to California and back in the last few days. Exhausting.

40'

You get the feeling that this is starting to prove a little too much for Leicester City. They are being overrun by the Spanish champions. The Foxes are lucky to only be 1-0 behind.

39'

YELLOW CARD: Denis Suarez (Barcelona)

38'

MESSI WIDE OF THE TARGET! The ball falls to the edge of the box where the Argentine playmaker is running on to it, but he cuts across his effort and slices wide of the post.

37'
36'

That was the archetypal Suarez goal! He tried to nutmeg the Leicester defender twice, failed, but still managed to keep hold of the ball and find the net with an opportunistic finish.

34'

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 2 (34 mins - Luis Suarez) Leicester City 0. How did he do that? Suarez looked to have lost the ball twice, but wriggled past two defenders and stabbed the ball high into the Leicester City net.

33'

BIG SAVE FROM ZIELER! Suarez and Turan play some lovely passes as they break down the Leicester defence, but the keeper comes off his line to smother the former's shot.

32'
31'

They played PSG in Los Angeles at the weekend and Celtic in Glasgow last week as well. Will that travelling have an impact on how they start the defence of their title?

30'

The worry for Leicester ahead of the new Premier League season is that they have bitten off more than they can chew this pre-season. They have been all over the globe playing friendlies.

29'

Barcelona probably deserve that goal on the whole. They have been the better side and have created more in front of the opposition goal. Leicester need to have a bit more about them.

28'

The pass from Messi was excellent for the goal, but Simpson really should have defended it better. Munir did well to fight off the right-back, but Simpson shouldn't have been caught out.

  • Munir El Haddadi
    GoalMunir El Haddadi
26'

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 1 (26 mins - Munir El Haddadi) Leicester City 0. There's the opening goal! Messi picks out the pass inside Simpson for Munir, who did well to roll the ball into the bottom corner of Zieler's goal.

25'

An amusing moment! Messi loses his footing inside the penalty area, face planting much to the amusement of those inside the Friends Arena. He doesn't do humiliation, though.

24'

For the first time in the match Leicester City are having some possession of the ball, but they can't do much with it. They are stopped before they can do any damage in the final third.

23'

One issue for Ranieri to tackle this season concerns the position left vacant by N'Golo Kante. The French midfielder left to join Chelsea, so how can Leicester City replace him?

22'

Gray is an exciting talent for Leicester City. The youngster was bought from Birmingham City and he has plenty of potential. Will he be given first-team football this season?

21'

There was a sense of disappointment at the way last season ended for Barcelona. They seemed to run out of steam at the wrong time. They'll be hoping their summer moves can help solve that issue.

20'

MESSI SHOT OVER THE BAR! The little Argentine sends the ball through the legs of Albrighton, but he gets his angles all wrong from 25 yards out, smashing the shot well over.

19'

Barcelona are the ones in control, there is no doubt about that, but every so often the Foxes show why they are so dangerous with a rapid counter-attack on the break.

18'

Mahrez is also starting for the Premier League champions this evening despite the speculation that continues to link him with a big-money move to Arsenal this summer. Is he distracted?

16'

This is the first time that Vardy has featured for Leicester City this pre-season. Of course, he was involved in Euro 2016 and then underwent surgery on his wrist. He needs minutes.

15'
14'

Leicester City are playing a very high line here. It's working for the moment, with Messi and Suarez both caught offside, but for how long will it hold out for? It's a risky game to play.

13'

First chance for Vardy to latch on to something inside the penalty area, but Marlon comes across to cut out the pass from Gray into the England international.

12'

Denis Suarez is enjoying this game so far. The midfielder was signed during the summer and has slotted in nicely to this Barcelona side. Some nice link-up play with Messi.

11'

Messi is already controlling things for Barcelona. He's the one on the edge of the Leicester City penalty area picking the passes and swinging in the set piece deliveries.

10'

Vidal has been handed the starting spot at right-back this evening for Barcelona and he could well be the first choice right back this season after Dani Alves' exit to Juventus in the summer.

9'

OVER THE BAR! Messi feeds Munir from his role on the edge of the penalty area, but the young forward sends his shot over the target, although the angle was tight for him.

8'

It's interesting that Turan is starting for Barcelona this evening. The Turkish international is reported to be on the transfer list, especially after the signing of Andres Gomes from Valencia.

7'
6'

BIG CHANCE FOR LEICESTER! Drinkwater found the run of Gray with an excellent switch of play, but after getting in behind the winger could only shoot over the crossbar.

5'

SUAREZ SHOULD HAVE SCORED! Denis Suarez had a shot on goal from the edge of the box saved by Zieler, but Luis Suarez could only send his shot on the rebound wide of the post.

4'

Crunching tackle early on from Huth! The former Chelsea centre back was fairly late in the challenge on Suarez and the referee awards the freekick to Barcelona.

3'

Most of the fans inside the Friends Arena in Stockholm are there to see Messi and co. but I'd be willing to bet there are a fair few who are very curious about seeing this Foxes side.

2'

It still seems rather strange to say it out loud or type it, but this International Champions Cup really is a clash of champions, with Leicester City the reigning champions of England.
