England announce first World Cup warm-up friendlies

England will start their World Cup preparations with friendlies against Germany and Brazil next month, the Football Association has announced.

Thursday's unconvincing 1-0 win against Slovenia saw Gareth Southgate's men secure their place at next summer's finals, with Wembley now set to host back-to-back friendlies in November.
England will face Germany for the third time in less than 20 months on November 10 after the reigning World Cup winners secured their place in Russia with a 3-1 victory in Northern Ireland.
Five-time world champions Brazil, the first team to seal their place at next summer's finals, will then head to Wembley on November 14 in what is another 8pm kick-off.
Press Association Sport understands a trip to Holland has been lined-up in March, with the FA now able to start rubber-stamping tournament preparations that are well under way.
England's final competitive match before the World Cup comes away at Lithuania on Sunday, when Southgate's side will look up to end Group F with a bang after stuttering against Slovenia.
