"To play at Old Trafford against England and to win is a prestigious achievement," said the substitute.
"In life it is necessary to remember good moments. For me my first goal for Spain came in a magnificent stadium".
Iniesta also praised his team-mates for their willingness to battle their opponents.
"Spain fought for the whole match against an England side that have a direct game.
"Physically we showed what we can do. The team is very happy and now we have to transfer this optimism to the decisive match against Denmark in March.
"Spain can beat the Danes and qualify for the next European championships."
Coach Luis Aragones spoke highly of Iniesta, who can play anywhere in midfield and came to the fore after the injury to Barca star Xavi last season.
"Iniesta is growing," he said. "He is going to be an extraordinary player."
