England right back Gary Neville says the country's supporters find it easy to boo Steve McClaren's team.
The Manchester United captain was part of the side that produced a dismal performance in the 1-0 defeat to Spain at Old Trafford.
After a lifeless display was greeted with jeers at the final whistle, Neville was not surprised with the crowd's reaction.
"It's easy to boo England," he reasoned. "That's expected.
"Fans come along and they are entitled to do what they want but I'm very lucky that I play for a club where they are more accommodating the players and with performances.
"With England it's always the same - you lose and then you get booed."
England's morale is very low after four games without a win leading into the tricky Euro 2008 qualifier in Israel.
