FULL-TIME: And there's the final whistle. Mason Greenwood's goal is the difference, the youngster's second goal of pre-season. Boy, do United have a player on their hands.

United are forced into a very late sub, as Chong has taken a knock. He's replaced by Gomes.

Four minutes will be added on.

And now United's Pereira is shown a yellow card. For a friendly to chalk up four bookings is unusual, but it has been a competitive contest.

Yellow card! Skriniar is booked for a poor challenge on Chong, who has been a target for Inter since his introduction.

How United would love a second goal - and they would deserve it. Greenwood, especially. He has been a revelation this summer. Having scored against Leeds on Wednesday, he has gone one better and netted against Italian giants Inter. And still only 17.

Offside! Young has done OK since coming on, too. He curls a dangerous cross to the far post, finding Mata who can't find the target. It doesn't matter in the end, however, as the Spaniard was in an offside position.

Off the woodwork! Greenwood is in the right place again to meet Chong's cross on the left, but he can only watch on as his cushioned effort crashes off the crossbar! United's youngsters are in full flow now!

Handanovic could only push Young's inswinging free-kick into the feet of the teenager, but he still had a lot to do. He kept his composure, however, and finished with aplomb.

  • Mason Greenwood
GoalMason GreenwoodManchester UnitedGOAL! Man United 1-0 Inter: Greenwood breaks the deadlock to give United a deserved lead! Now that's the way to make an impression! The 17-year-old picks the ball up inside the area, cuts inside and rifles a left-footed rocket into the top corner. Handanovic had no chance!

GOAL! Man United 1-0 Inter: Greenwood breaks the deadlock to give United a deserved lead! Now that's the way to make an impression! The 17-year-old picks the ball up inside the area, cuts inside and rifles a left-footed rocket into the top corner. Handanovic had no chance!

So close! Nineteen-year-old Chong has looked sharp since his introduction a while ago. He should have had a penalty a few minutes ago and now he drives a fantastic effort just wide of the goal.

Yellow card! Candreva is booked for a foul on Chong on the left flank.

Young, determined to prove a point after the jeering earlier, tests Handanovic with a curling shot from distance, but it was always going to be comfortable for the Inter keeper.

No penalty! You have seen them given. Chong is bundled over in the box, prompting strong appeals for a spot-kick from the United players, but the referee ignores their call.

Close! Dalot is released down the right flank and crosses for Greenwood, but he can't quite there and de Vrij scrambles the danger clear.

Unsurprisingly, the wholesale changes have disrupted the flow of the match.

He is one of 10 United subs brought on a few minutes ago...

No penalty! Pereira and Greenwood link up immediately, with the latter going down inside the box under Skriniar's challenge. Nothing is doing by the referee.

Chaos ensues in the United penalty area as Sensi's free-kick deliver is allowed to bounce. Eventually, after some pinball, United clear their lines.

United make a raft of subs. On comes Romero, Fred, Bailly, Mata, Dalot, Greenwood, McTominay, Young, Pereria and Chong.

Pogba tries to catch Handanovic out with a cheeky shot from the resulting free-kick, but it strikes the Inter wall. United had all the big men brought forward to contest a cross, and they won't be pleased with the Frenchman's decision making.

Brozovic is walking a fine line. Already on a yellow, he hacks down Wan-Bissaka, but escapes a second booking.

A dangerous cross is swung in from the left, Perisic is stretching for it and it just evades Esposito. United get fortunate.

United sub: Lindelof has picked up a slight knock and he's replaced by Phil Jones.

Wow. What pace by Wan-Bissaka! Dalbert has a good 20-yard head start on his marker as he sets off down the flank, but the United full-back easily catches up and makes a crunching tackle on his counterpart.

United have done everything but score. Plenty of time left to right that, however. Solskjaer will be pleased with his side's showing. Everything has been there except that crucial lack of clinical edge in front of goal.

OFF THE POST! From a left-wing corner, Matic heads against a post! Handanovic was rooted to the spot. Is it going to be one of those days for United?

CLEARED OFF THE LINE! Martial splits open the Inter defence with a lovely bit of skill and pace. He rolls it across to Lingard whose first-time shot lacks conviction and is cleared off the line by a retreating defender!

United's pressing has cooled and Inter have made a better start to the second period. Difficult to play with the intensity United started with throughout a match, particularly in this soaring heat.

Remember, there has to be a winner. If it's a draw at full-time, it'll go straight to a penalty shootout.

We are back underway at the National Stadium in Singapore. United are unchanged, Inter have made a change as Perisic replaces Longo.

  • End of 1st Half

HALF-TIME: There's the whistle to signal a 15-minute break in Singapore. United have clearly been the better and sharper team but it's level at the interval.

Good chance! A lovely through-ball from Pogba almost sets Rashford free but Handanovic is off his line quickly to clear his lines.

Three minutes will be added on here at the end of the first-half.

Candreva chips a ball into the centre, Espositio lashes at goal, it strikes his own team mate, who is in an offside position.

Good save! A rapid counter-attack from United here. Martial and Lingard exchange passes, the Frenchman is through on goal but Handanovic rushes out to beat his shot away!

Inter chance! De Gea is caught all at sea as a cross comes in from the right but he's let off the hook as Brozovic heads wide at the far post.

Two chances for James! A good break from midfield by Lingard who then plays a super ball to James. His cross has too much zip on it, though. A moment later, the young Welshman slices a shot wide from a tight angle.

We're back underway and United squander another half-decent opportunity. This is a decent free-flowing move but Rashford selfishly goes for a shot which goes harmlessly over the bar. It must have taken a nick, though, as United win the corner.

It's time for a drinks break.

United chance! How did that stay out? Shaw rolls a dangerous ball across the face of goal but Handanovic gets a crucial touch to take it from the toes of Rashford, who was certain to score.

Inter win a free-kick in a promising enough position but, for reason unknown, they play it all the way back to Handanovic before surrendering the ball to United. Conte can't be pleased with this performance so far.

With the resulting free-kick, Rashford smashes the ball into the Inter wall. Disappointing.

Intricate, one-touch passing from United as they move forward with intent. It comes to nothing but United soon regain possession and then Lingard then draws the foul a moment later. Brozovic the culprit once more.

Good handling from Handanovic to save Martial's shot from distance. It was dipping and could have been awkward but the Inter goalkeeper got behind it well.

Inter win another free-kick, this time in a promising position on the left. Sensi's cross is floated in dangerously but United's defending is on point and they head clear.

Bizarre decision by the referee. Martial appears to be clipped and goes to ground. The ref blows for a foul, but it goes Inter's way. Was that for handball? Did Martial touch the ball with his hand when he went down?

Sensi's corner delivery drifts over everyone in the United penalty area. That's poor.

First real sign of intent from Inter as the ball is switched to Candreva and he delivers a dangerous-looking cross. It's cleared behind for a corner.

United's high press is causing Inter problems, yet they continually try to play out from the back. Solskjaer's youthful side are looking good out there.

That's just wide! Shaw is aiming for the bottom corner with a lovely drive from 25 yards, and he almost finds it. The ball curls just agonisingly wide. I'm not sure Handanovic was getting there!

A wild pass in Inter's midfield gives United possession and Rashford darts forward on the counter. He has options either side but selfishly tries to go it alone and is crowded out on the edge of the penalty area.

Dalbert beats Wan-Bissaka for pace to deliver a cross. United's defence make a mess of their clearance and concede the corner. It comes to nothing.

Brozovic lunges at James and in a competitive game that's a yellow. It's a friendly so he escapes with a caution from the referee.

Rashford is in confident mood. Twisting and turning to find space to have a shot on the edge of the penalty area, he sees the effort deflect behind for a United corner. Solskjaer's side have started well.

A dangerous through-ball finds Inter's 17-year-old sensation Espositio on the right. But he has few options in the middle and his cross is easily dealt with by the United defence.

Wan-Bissaka has been encouraging at full-back in pre-season. He loves a challenge. The Englishman shows great athleticism and determination to block Candreva's cross.

Inter are playing catch up fitness-wise. The Serie A season kicks off a couple of weeks after the Premier League commences.

United zip the ball around quickly, with Pogba creating space with a smart turn in midfield. Rashford then overcooks his cross and Inter have a goal-kick.

James can play on either flank but he's operating on the right tonight.

Huge cheers as United gain possession but it soon turns to groans as a pass is overplayed in midfield as Inter win a throw-in.

KICK-OFF! The match is finally underway. Inter get the ball rolling.

Things are running a little late but kick-off will be NEXT! It's Manchester United versus Inter Milan LIVE in Singapore!

The reporters with MUTV have been catching up with supporters gathering outside the ground. They all predicted a United victory and Pogba was the player they were most excited to see. Will the Frenchman still be a red by the time August comes?

The roof is closed on the National Stadium... we are almost set for kick-off in Singapore. I'm interested to see how young players like Tuanzebe and James perform in such unusual surroundings. It's well over 30 degrees here.

There are 15 minutes until kick-off. David De Gea is showing off his reflexes as the players warm up. After a below-par campaign last season it is hugely important for United that the Spaniard gets back to his best. He looks sharp at the moment. Perhaps the rest will have done him good.

Tonight's game at the National Stadium is a sell out. There are few Inter supporters, it seems, as red dominates the 55,000 seated arena.

Solskjaer has been speaking to the media... "It's pre-season, it's supposed to be hard work. It's supposed to be a mental test. I think it will be a great tactical and physical challenge for the players."

Starting XI: Handanovic, D'Ambrosio, De Vrij, Skriniar, Dalbert, Gagliardini, Brozovic, Sensi, Longo, Candreva, Esposito.

Solskjaer's team selection is interesting. Axel Tuanzebe has been given the nod in central defence, an indication that the 21-year-old could play more than a bit part this season. Seventeen-year-old Mason Greenwood was expected to start but Solskjaer has instead gone for the tried and tested Anthony Martial. Daniel James gets another opportunity to impress. David De Gea returns to nets, while Romelu Lukaku misses out through injury.

Starting XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Tuanzebe, Lindelof, Shaw, Matic, Pogba, James, Lingard, Martial, Rashford.. subs: Romero, J Pereira, Dalot, Darmian, Young, Bailly, Jones, Rojo, Smalling, A Pereira, Fred, Garner, Gomes, Mata, McTominay, Chong, Greenwood.

The transfer saga of the summer rolls on and on. Will Inter get their man?

Hello and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE text commentary of Manchester United's International Champions Cup friendly with Inter Milan.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is targeting a third consecutive victory in pre-season having guided his side to convincing victories over Perth Glory and Leeds. Inter present United's first test of the summer, however, and considering the temperature in Singapore exceeds 30 degrees today, it will be interesting how the Red Devils perform.
