And that's full-time.

Excellent from this young US side but worrying for France.

Brilliant double save from Steffen at the end as he denies first Fekir and then Dembele.

Excellent from the US goalkeeper.

Steffen has to be alert as a cross hits one of his defenders in the face and goes towards goal. He does well to turn it over for a corner.

There's going to be four minutes of added time...

Not a lot going on now despite a couple of changes for France. They really don't look like getting a second. The US are defending pretty well.

Another good move for France results in another chance for Mbappe but it goes narrowly wide.

France can smell a second.

Another change for the US. Villafana is on for Robinson.

Another free-kick for the US as Dembele gets sandwiched between Palmer-Brown and Corona.

The crowd go nuts when they realise Fekir is taking...

And it's a great effort but Steffen is equal to it and palms it behind.

  • Kylian Mbappé
GoalKylian MbappéFranceGOAL! FRANCE 1-1 USA (MBAPPE) There it is! It's been coming and it is the hugely impressive Mbappe who gets the goal. Pavard gets down the right and puts in a much better ball than anything Sidibe put in all night and Mbappe tucks it home.

There it is! It's been coming and it is the hugely impressive Mbappe who gets the goal. Pavard gets down the right and puts in a much better ball than anything Sidibe put in all night and Mbappe tucks it home.

They don't need him at the moment.

And he's not the only star the US are missing...

Couple of changes for the Americans.

On come the very exciting Sargent and Newcastle's Yedlin as Wood and Moore come off.

Pogba's free-kick hits the ball, bounces to Lucas and after he takes a touch he hammers it wide.

Pavard is on for Sidibe

Another fabulous run from Pogba as he turns and spins away from one opponent before it takes another to bring him down.

Mbappe takes the free-kick but it misses everyone and goes wide of the post.

Right get ready to turn up the volume. Griezmann is off and it's time for Fekir

Some rather agricultural defending from Moore as Hernandez knocks the ball around him only for the US defender to wrestle him to the floor.

Pogba gets the ball from Griezmann on the edge of the area and has a go from range but it's far too easy for Steffen to gather.

Another impressive performance from Mendy as he steps up his return from injury.

Hernandez is on at left-back and rather than come onto the pitch he just picks up the ball for a throw, which is unique.

Another decent corner in from Trapp but there's nothing doing and France get the goal-kick.

Another good run from Mbappe but his shot is blocked.

It looks like it's a free front three for France (try saying that ten times) with the attackers given the freedom to go where they want.

The US have sent on Palmer-Brown to replace Miazga.

For France Tolisso is on the right with Pogba moving to the left.

It looks like Miazga has gone straight to the locker room as well.

Really good to see that neither team is taking a risk with players who could have concussion, they're both off immediately.

Giroud is up but he looks very Terry Butcher with a bandage around his head.

There's going to be a couple of changes anyway as Tolisso replaces Matuidi and Dembele comes on for Giroud.

A move back to 4-3-3 for France?

Still home favourite Nabil Fekir sits on the bench...

Both players still down. Replays show it was a really nasty clash of heads that combined with Steffen punching the ball away.

Looks like Steffen caught a bit of Giroud too.

Oh this doesn't look good.

There is a load of blood coming off Miazga and Giroud

More pressure from France as Pogba wins a corner.

It's cleared again but there are a few players down in a heap.

Couple of really sloppy passes in quick succession from Kante and then Parker muscles Giroud off the ball.

Not going well for France at the moment...

Gorgeous football from France as Pogba plays one-twos with first Giroud and then Matuidi.

However his cross is high and wide.

It's clear that Dave Sarachan has told his players that they should not be afraid of this France side, they've started nicely after the break.

Playing with much more intensity.

More great work from the US as they get Moore free on the right. His cross is turned in by Wood but it's offside.

Griezmann has the first effort of the second half but, as with so much of his play tonight, it goes wide.

We are back underway, it doesn't look as if there are any changes to tell you about.

Here is that Green goal.

And that's the half-time whistle.

Boos and whistles from the Lyon crowd and rightly so, that was sloppy from France and they should be ahead in this.

  • Julian Green
GoalJulian GreenUSAGOAL! FRANCE 0-1 USA (GREEN) Crikey where has that come from?! Completely against the run of play and the US are ahead. The ball comes in from the right and Sidibe's clearance is poor. Green pounces and he beats Lloris at the near post. Both full-back and defender have to do better there.

Crikey where has that come from?!

Completely against the run of play and the US are ahead.

The ball comes in from the right and Sidibe's clearance is poor. Green pounces and he beats Lloris at the near post.

Both full-back and defender have to do better there.

A couple of minutes before half-time and the US have a corner which I'm fairly sure if their first of the match.

It's a good ball too from Trapp but France clear and break although Griezmann's headed pass through to himself is gathered by Steffen.

Mendy has been excellent thus far and he wins another corner as he gets in behind.

Mbappe takes it this time but it's the same result as the US easily clear.

Another chance for Griezmann as he finds space but the ball agonisingly wide.

France keep creating chances but it isn't falling for them at the moment.

It will be interesting to see how much Deschamps changes at half-time.

And just as I say that Robinson sends in an excellent early cross that catches France out and Wood nearly gets on the end of it.

The play is called back for offside after Lloris gathers.

After that early onslaught the US have certainly grown into this.

France are still on top but the US don't look as overawed as before. It's still hard to see where a goal is coming from though. Wood and Green are offering nothing.

Excellent from Parker as he stays with Mbappe after the youngster turns him.

The New York Red Bulls man showed good speed there.

Another effort from Pogba from the edge of the area but it's straight at Steffen.

Another flowing move from France stops at the worst time as Pogba plays in Sidibe and he crosses into the path of Kante.

Unfortunately the Chelsea man's touch is heavy and he loses the ball.

Ball is spread out wide to Mendy again but as he cuts in his cross with his right is over everyone.

I do worry that France are trying to cross too much and put too much on Giroud, especially given the talent at their disposal.

It's not great again from Griezmann, who has been poor from set-pieces thus far, as it sails over everyone and out of play.

Another chance for France Mendy is played over the top and Mbappe turns his cross wide. It'll be another corner.

Lovely link-up play from France again as Pogba finds Mbappe who plays a one-two with Griezmann.

Mbappe takes a touch to get the ball out of his feet and fires over although it took a slight deflection so will be a corner.

Just before that Pogba had escaped a tight corner but nutmegging Robinson which was unfortunate for the US defender given he had done well against Mbappe seconds earlier.

Kante leaves Lloris with a relatively short back-pass but the captain deals with it well despite it being on his weaker side.

Ball is narrowly flashed past the post and it goes behind for a Griezmann corner which is cleared.

The US are just trying to keep the ball for a sustained period but France are pressing them well and a pass to Robinson goes behind him and out of play.

It probably doesn't get mentioned enough but Mbappe is absolutely astonishing. He's just 19 and about to start for his country at the World Cup, but he looks like he's just having a kick-around with his mates.

Pictures on the TV of Ousmane Dembele who is probably the player most under threat by this system.

There's not an obvious place for him in this line-up...

Cross swung in from the left and Steffen, who has settled nicely after their early nervy moment, comes out to claim.

Griezmann already looks far brighter in this system, he nearly links up with Mbappe but the final pass is just lacking.

Adams and McKennie are trying their best to stay with France's midfield and Adams in particular is showing that he's not afraid by those he's playing.

The US haven't really got forward at all so far and indeed as France play it about at the back I believe these are Lloris' first touches thus far.

France win a free-kick out on the left.

Griezmann to swing in...

And it's headed straight at Steffen by Giroud.

France break with pace and Griezmann nearly slips in Griezmann but Parker does well to read the pass and intercept.

Then the ball is played into Giroud by the outside of Pogba's boot but the Chelsea forward can't get a shot away.

Unconfirmed at this stage but it almost looked as if Steffen got a finger tip on that Pogba shot, if he did that's an outrageous save.

Good France pressure sees Steffen kick the ball out of play but the move comes to nothing after the throw.

The corner comes to nothing but moments later Pogba picks up the ball and smashes it towards goal only to see his shot come back off the post.

Matuidi slips in Mendy and he cuts inside before charging into the box.

His low cross is good but it is deflected behind for a corner.

Already Griezmann is taking up a much deeper position than he was against Italy. It will be interesting to see if this brings an improvement in performance.

We're finally underway after a kick-off from France's World Cup winning coach Aime Jacquet

This one isn't starting on time as you probably could have guessed.

We just had the anthems sung by a group of school children. It wasn't brilliant...

Right we're five minutes away from kick-off.

What are your predictions for this one?

So what can we expect from this match then?

Well for France this is a potential system they could use during the World Cup, especially as it gives Griezmann more creative freedom whilst keeping strength in the midfield.

For the US it's a chance to see some more of their young talent, particularly Weston McKennie and Tyler Adams in midfield.

Steffen, Moore, Carter-Vickers, Miazga, Parker, Robinson, Adams, Trapp, McKennie, Green, Wood

It's an experimental line-up from the US as they look to start the building process for the 2022 tournament.

There's no Timothy Weah in the line-up or Josh Sargent.

Lloris, Sidibe, Varane, Umtiti, Mendy, Kante, Pogba, Matuidi, Griezmann, Mbappe, Giroud

A strong France team despite the fact that Didier Deschamps makes four changes from the 3-1 victory over Italy in Nice.

It's interesting to see Deschamps move to a diamond from a 4-3-3

Good evening and welcome to live coverage of France's final World Cup warm-up match against the USA in Lyon.
